DD and I were just doing an alphabet puzzle together, and the picture for X was a xylophone. I said, "That's an xylophone!" to DD and DH burst out laughing at my pronunciation.
He says it zy-lo-phone, which I don't doubt is a legitimate way of saying it. But I say EX-zy-lo-phone.... We called my parents who said that's how they say it, so obviously that's where I got it, but do any of you say it that way? Or am I alone in my family of English language butcherers?

This is why the name Xavier drives me nuts. I know so many who pronounce it "Ex-xavier", but that makes no sense.
