After formula?

So I've been formula feeding my L/O for a number of months now, but I've run out of WIC for it till around mid November. I don't at all mind buying more, if necessary, but I was wondering if there's anything less expensive than formula that I can transition him to that will be adequate for his nutritional needs?

At 8 months old he still needs infant formula. You can buy generic formula, which should save you some money, but he needs infant (not toddler) formula or breast milk making up the bulk of his diet still.

You could research milk banks. Perhaps you could find some donations.

would not look to substitute anything else for formula at this age. Try generic brands, or look for coupons.

Good point. Ya his father keeps insisting that regular milk is just fine, because his mother (with whom we reside) gave it to him practically from the get go. I'm not so convinced of this. She picked up some formula today

When my ill sis self-weaned before a year in 1985 my mom just gave her Regular milk. But that was 1985 and the AAP knows better now. It might have"been okay" back then but pediatricians now reccomend breastmilk or formula as the main food source for the first year of life.
