We are starting to think of our registry in time for Christmas. I was wondering what everyone needed x2 of, or more for more than 2 babes. Car seats of course, but what about cribs, bouncers, high chairs, etc.
Rock N Plays, car seats, boppies, cribs (although I'm keeping them in one until they start moving). That's all I've gotten so far. I will be watching to see what everyone else says.

Boppies, sound machines, bassinets, vibrating chairs (fisher price rock music one is great). Same as PP we only got one jumper and exersaucerand it's worked out fine.

2 baby monitors is also helpful. We have two different kinds so we can easily tell who is making noise just by looking at the monitor because they're different. Swings and bouncers are hard because one baby might like them and the other not so if you can hold off on buying two I would until you find out what they like.
-2 Fisher Price High Chairs - This is big to me because I can recline them and put the babies in there when they're small to bottle feed if we need to, or just put them in there when we're eating meals.
- 2 car seats
- 2 boppies
- 2 cribs (I'm starting out with 1 and will buy another one when I feel we need to, otherwise I have 1 crib and 1 pnp)
- 2 video monitors. If you are doing video and room sharing or not, get 2 monitors, this way you can focus each one on each baby. We're going to be room sharing for a while, but when we put them in their own room (together) we're getting 2 video monitors. (1 monitor, 2 cameras)
Mono/Di Twins - Due March 3, 2014 (Realist EDD - Feb 5, 2014)
We absolutely use the two high chairs - we feed them simultaneously (usually from the same bowl/spoon) to save us time and sanity. We definitely needed two cribs by the time they sprouted teeth (James started using Simon as a chew toy, as he could crawl before Simon was even scooting), but we kept them sleeping together up until the biting started. We didn't need two swings, but our boys didn't really even like the one swing, so I can't say that it wouldn't be beneficial. Two bouncers probably would have been nice, but we are already low on space and funds so we never bothered even getting one of them. We also don't use baby monitors at all (we are right across the hall from our boys' room, we leave both doors open, and after picking up trucker radios on DD#2's monitor when she was a baby and having a neighbor with the same frequency we had trying to TALK to us through it, we decided monitors were a waste and a worry for our family. We only use one play pen at a time, though we have two of them. We never used RnPs or Bumbos, but I'd say two would be helpful if you were going to get them. We only used one baby bath tub and bathed them individually - if you are going to want to bathe them together, you will want two tubs or sponges, for sure - at least until they're sitting up. annnnnnnd if you've got the funds for one, I'd invest in a buggybench for shopping trips, too. Way easier than dragging a stroller along, particularly if you don't have an extra adult to bring on the trip.

Cribs, high chairs, car seats and extra bases, pack and plays. For everything else, I bought one and wait to see if the babies liked it. For example, my kids never liked their bouncer, but both loved the rock and play. They liked different types of swings. They both loved the jumperoo and hated the baby einstein jumper. DD likes her flat bassinet while DS hated it. I usually buy the second item used (except for the swing).

This for sure if you'll be giving them bottles. I didn't think we needed them but after a week of using hot water to heat bottles we bought one and then went back for a second. It can save you 10 mins or so a feed, which at night means 10 mins more of sleep so about 30 minutes of sleep a night. Priceless:)
Did you use the single bottle warmers or did you find a double one that worked well? I'm looking for a double one but can't find one with good reviews.
"The advice I've been given from other twin momma's I know is that you only need to buy two of things that can be used by both babies at once.
That might sound like a really stupid thing to say, but think about it- you can't change two babies at once right? So you will need only one changing table. You can't bathe two newborns alone? You will need one bath seat....etc.
Anything that can be used at the same time i.e. bouncy seats, high chairs (for later, obviously) cribs, car seats....those are the things you should get two of.
That's the advice I'm sticking with anyway!"
This. I started with 1 swing and wound up getting another when I figured out that they both liked them. 1 exersaucer, 1 bouncer. 2 bouncy seats, 2 high chairs, 2 car seats,
The one thing I will suggest that I didn't see (Honestly I didn't read all the way down so ignore if it's there)...2 diaper bags. I did this in the mere chance that they were taken out separately. This came in handy when we took them on a plane. Each of us had a baby and a diaper bag that was packed exactly the same so it didn't matter if we took the wrong bag. WAY easier than having to share a bag on a plane.

This is what we are doing as well. My mfm who is a father to twin recommended using a pack and play instead of bassinets. So that is also an option.
2 carseats, 2 swings, 2 bouncy seats (or in our case 1 jumperoo and 1 exersaucer), 2 cribs, 2 bassinets. Think "places I can put them where they'll be safe while I shower". We skipped highchairs and use fisher price boosters that attach to chairs. Highchairs take up so much space, and our house isn't that big; plus the booster grows with them!
We got 2 cribs, 2 carseats and 2 pack n'plays. The pack n'plays are used as beds for when we travel so that is why we got 2 right away. We got 2 booster seats instead of height chairs because we already have a small kitchen and it seemed like it would take up a lot of space with 2. Plus you can travel with them.
We got one bouncer, one swing, one gym, one jumper and it's worked out well. They take turns and usually one is interested in one thing for a while and another is interested in something else. We didn't want to get 2 of everything when we weren't even sure one would like it yet. It also seems to keep them occupied when they are moving around to different items a lot.
We did find you can never have enough white onsies, towels, burp cloths, bottle/eating stuff, etc. so we registered for tons of those little things but still could use more.

I have a high chair, boppy and exersaucer from my singleton. I got a twin nursing pillow and have held off on getting addl of the other two ATM.
I'm still pregnant, but this is my plan :
- 2 RNP
- 1 swing (although I'm highly considering 2)
-2 Fisher Price High Chairs - This is big to me because I can recline them and put the babies in there when they're small to bottle feed if we need to, or just put them in there when we're eating meals.
