I am fortunate to live in an area that never has time change!
There is a place with no time change, I know you said in Canada but is it all of Canada
Definitely not all of Canada as we have a time change. I never even thought about how this would affect our schedule (also I can never keep affect and effect straight)
Ditto - so I usually try to find another word or rephrase my sentence, haha.
Nov 3rd time change....are you fucking kidding me! This is the day before I go back to work. I've worked so hard to get her as close to a schedule as possible...and just when it is starting to work the time is changing! Unbelievable.
This. I'm glad some BTDT moms have chimmed in about it not being a big deal. I'm not worried. We will stick with his nighttime routine and hope for the best.
It didn't affect my DD but DS is a whole different baby! One of my cousins made the change slowly with her DS, I think she moved his schedule by 15 minutes each day for a few days. DS doesn't really have a schedule yet so it should be fine, plus we're traveling to a different time zone shortly after that and will be there for almost a month!

I have lived several places in IN, always changed time.
I am the odd BTDT I guess. I hate time changes. It screws my kids up for weeks. Getting my 7 and 5 year old to go to sleep an hour later/earlier, nightmare.
Oh fucking great - the day I go back to work. Wonderful.

I forgot about it. In one way, I'm lucky that DD hasn't really put herself on a schedule yet. On the other hand, I go back to work 2 weeks later so that might mess my own sleep up.
I grew up in a small town in Indiana and the time never changed. It was just north of Kokomo. I'm not sure if they change time now though. I don't think they do. I miss not having to change times.
So.... how are little ones doing with this? Monday morning my LO got up at 5 (she usually gets up about 6:30). Last night she woke in the middle of the night for the first time in a long time, and was up from 2:30 to 4. I am hoping it was a fluke, but worried that are are three days away from a leap, and almost to the 12 week mark, so we might be hitting sleep regression.
We're messed up....for weeks, now, LO has only gotten up once a night. Time Change hits and BAM, she's up at midnight, 3 am, and thinks its time to get up at 4:45 : / She used to sleep til at least 615....
HOWEVER, night 2 she slept longer stretches, and tonight (night 3) got a bit longer as well.im hoping we're good by the end of the week!
@kcooper1986 yay! That's gives me hope.... Tonight has been better.... I think she might actually make it to 5 am? Fingers crossed! Now if only my brain would shut off so I could get some sleep.
Time change has always been really rough for DS. He's an early riser anyway but this time change has killed us. He was doing a 530am wakeup for the week or two prior, which sucked as it was. Now he's up at 4am!! Fourth day in a row. The baby hasn't really been affected much at all, thankfully. But I'm tired of waking up at 4 AM and he is exhausted all day long which makes for a rough one.

That's interesting. I would have bet money the entire US switched times... I learned something new today!!
P.S: Time never changes for my family in Puerto Rico or DH's family in Ecuador.
