Choking himself?

Anyone else's lo choking themselves? For the past couple months DS will stick his fingers down his throat until he gags and heaves. Lately it seems like he's doing it all the time and now is using toys or his bottle/sippy cup.

    DS went through this phase a few months ago. He shoved whatever he could find down there until he gagged and then giggled. I didn't know how to handle it, so I just kept telling him that we don't put things that far down our throats and taking whatever it was away from him (except, of course, his hands, which also got shoved down there often).
