Grabbing ear--teething?

My Lo kept crying and grabbing his ear last night. Have any of yours done this when teething?  Im thinking its either that or an ear infection but he doesn't have a temp or any other symptoms. Thankfully we have his six month apt later today so I can have the doc check it out. I was just curious if anyone had experienced this.

    I haven't experienced it but I've heard them say that they can grab their ears when they teethe.

    I noticed my little guy doing this while BFing and about a week later, he got his first tooth. Not sure if it was coincidence but I've read that teething can cause pain I their ears too. Maybe the sucking and teething at same time bothered his ears. Hope your appt goes well.

    Update--Doctor said his ears look perfect.  She said it could be teething pain but no signs of one popping through yet or she said sometimes they just discover their ears and like to play and pull on them.
