Fireplace gates

I'm looking into this one but it screws into the wall and will take up some room. But he wont be able to get near the fire so that's the main idea.

We use our fireplace A LOT in the wintertime and I know he's going to try to get into it. What are you using to keep lo away from the fire? I need ideas!!!!

So far I think this is the only thing that will work. The kind that you can move I know he will climb behind or move himself. I just need to wrap my entire house in bubblewrap!
