new here- get well gift for 8 year old girl?

Hope you ladies don't mind a new girl to the board! My kids are bit small still but have been lurking about K questions with the beginning of the school year.

Anyway, my 8 year old neighbor landed in the hospital for a week with a bone infection and we want to get her a nice welcome home gift (coming home Thursday). The kids are going to do some art work for her and muffins but what is cool for an 8 year old girl who can be a girly girl when she wants but plays soccer and will dig in the dirt with my son as well? 8 year olds are foreign territory for me She'll be off her feet a few more days when she gets home.

I don't know how big this is in your area---or how much you want to spend, but the rainbow loom things are HUGE with girls and boys--particularly between 7-10 years old.
