No Belly Touching in PA!

Check this out.  A new law in Pennsylvania bans touching a pregnant woman's belly.  How did I not know this and can I get my MIL locked up for this?

Re: No Belly Touching in PA!

  • It's your civic duty to get your MIL locked up for breaking the law. :D  Do you think you could find something I could pin on mine? She introduced my newborn son as her "new toy" last night at our town's Fall festival.

  • Is it legal to touch a stranger's non-pregnant belly?

I feel like this doesn't need its own law, you should keep your hands to yourself and not harass others.

I agree.  When you think about it any unsolicited touch should be illegal, but it's making news in the state today.
  • @dollphnfreek10- Yeah. It did. I don't think she even knew the lady- it was the new vet in town (small town). I said "No, this is MY son" and gave her the "You on something?!" look.

  • One of our older generation friends works at our grocery store. She stopped me to chat for a minute last night. She leaned in with her arm out... I leaned into it with my belly hoping she'd give it a rub... She just wanted a plain 'ol hug... :(
I like when my friends rub my belly. Strangers... Not so much.
