Magic Sleep Suit Users

We've been using the sleep suit for 4 nights now and it's working great to give DS2 some freedom while keeping him from waking himself up in the MOTN. He's back to STTN after a few restless weeks busting out of his swaddle. But he is still having trouble falling asleep on his own. Lately he's been falling asleep while nursing and will wake up briefly when I put him down but goes right to sleep. If he's still awake when I put him down he can't settle himself to fall asleep and I have to do the pick up/put down thing and occasionally nurse him quickly to get him down. I tried letting him CIO for 5 min at a time tonight but I ended up caving after 15 min. Has anyone done CIO or any type of sleep training in the sleep suit? I'm worried that he can't fully self soothe in the suit.
