NT scan results- need reassurance

I had my NT scan on friday at 13w5d and the NT came back at 3.6.  THe nurse did have a hard time getting baby to cooperate and get into the right position.  They are concerned because the number is a little high and that I will be 35 when I deliver.  I went ahead and had the MaterniT21 tst done but won't get results for about 2 weeks.

I know there are a lot of false positives with this test, but with the number not being that much over where they like it to be and no other markers, do you think I should worry too much?  I am totally freaking out.  I should have our odds this week.  Anyone else experience something like this?

    Were they able to find a nasal bone?
    I'm sorry but I am not experiencing the same thing. However, I have read many many posts that were in your position and their blood work came back fine! Just try to keep your mind busy to make time go fast and remember that the measurements do not guarantee anything and only estimates the risk. Good luck!!

    Try not to freak out just yet! The scan is just scratching the surface. Plenty of normal babies measure in the "high" range. Its my understanding that once you do the blood tests and sequential screening you can know whether or not there is a problem with 93% or so accuracy. Hang in there!!

    I believe they did.  Tey never said anything about it, just the NT number and my age.  I also got a few profile pics of the baby and there is clearly a nose there.

    They get tests back sooner. I would call in a week :) mine was back in 3 days.
    I called when it hit a week and they had it sitting there
    GL that all is fine. Did they see a nasal bone? Sometimes it's hard to get a accurate reading
    1st loss 8/31
    2nd pregnancy -TWINS lost DD1 twin at 8 weeks 6 days DD1 born 6 weeks early
    3rd pregnancy- TWINS AGAIN lost both babies at 9 week appt
    4th pregnancy- singleton- born at 38 weeks 1 day with the help of weekly 17P injections
    5th pregnancy- CP in June
    6th pregnancy It's a BOY

    I believe they found one.  They only things they told me they were concerned about were my age at delivery (35) and the NT number of 3.6.  I have a couple profile pics and you can clearly see the nose.

    I just had the MaterniT21 test done on Friday so I too am anxiously awaiting the results. I will pray for the both of us! My OB told me that the ratio you get from your NT plus your bloodwork is more informative than just the nuchal fold measurement. If they took your blood for the MaterniT21, just try your best to be as calm as possible until then. My OB said this test is 99.99% accurate.

    Thanks.  I will be praying for you too.  Keep me updated as to when you get your results.  I was told 7-10 business days.

    Yes, I did the nuchal and got the blood test which didn't come back good. That blood was average HCG and low Papp-A. So that made my chances 1:30. I really don't know how accurate this is. There was a bone for me too. I took the maternal21 test after that and am waiting for those results which I heard is a lot more accurate. The waiting is awful. But I've been all over the internet and read many stories of women getting bad nuchal results and everything is fine. Hang in there :)
