Any Halloween costume ideas for the costume-hating toddler?

So, J is refusing to put her costume on... local stores are out of any costume in her size that I think she may tolerate...

Any ideas? Along the lines of, pinning some sort of clever sign on her? (I saw a hilarious idea for an adult - wear regular clothes and wear a sign that says "nudist on strike". Ha!)

Anyway, how are you all dealing with your costume-hating toddlers?

    Jeans and a white shirt (button down or tshirt) with a bandana and cowboy boots?

    DS is a super hero, his costume isn't too crazy.  A shirt with a cape, and shorts with leggings underneath.  He has a mask too that he only keeps on if we do it while he's distracted.

    We got the boys costumes last month, but what we really wanted DS2 to be we couldn't because we knew he would take parts of it off (we wanted him to be Clark Kent since his older brother is Superman, but he wouldn't wear the glasses). We found this cute Ninja costume that has a head thingy and it doesn't seem to bother him, but anything on his face or a hat was out of the question. His actual costume is just one piece so that works perfectly. 

    What about Vanellope von Schweets? Off Wreck-It Ralph. It would pretty much be normal clothes.

    can you find some sort of T shirt costume, even a skeleton kind of thing?  I think with DD it's really just all about no hats!

    DS has pajamas that are skeletons, I think at Gap if they still have them.  Or does she have overalls?  Make her a scarecrow.

    I kept it simple this year for our daughter.  I got this Carter's outfit-witch tee with Halloween tutu.  There are some cute Halloween shirts for Carters or Old Navy and then you could put it with a cute skirt.  And then I got her some Arizona black sparkle boots from JCPenney's.  image
