Pregnant again?!

Hello Ladies!

I am 4m PP and I am exclusively breastfeeding.  For the past few weeks I have been experiencing cramping like AF is about to start.  I keep waiting and waiting because I know it is common for your period to start back up again around this time, but to no avail.  I have heavy discharge (which hasn't been normal postpartum for me), and am experiencing many symptoms that could be related to AF or pregnancy.  I have an IUD and although it seems impossible that I am pregnant again at 4 months PP, that thought is in the back of my mind.  I took two tests and they were both negative.  I have only had 1 pregnancy so I am unsure if this is normal or not.

Have any of you experienced this PP?

**I am not asking if I am pregnant, just if any of you experienced these symptoms prior to AF returning.  Sorry for the confusion.

    If your pregnancy tests were negative, you're proooobably not pregnant. Plus, you have an IUD. Plus, you're breastfeeding.

    I didn't get my period for a year while I was BFing DD1. A friend of mine stopped BFing at 4m and still didn't get her period until 7m pp. I don't know who told you to expect it so soon, but AF generally doesn't show her ugly face for six months, on average, if you're exclusively breastfeeding.

    If you are really worried call your dr. I got pregnant while BFing without having a period, but didn't have an IUD.

    Getting your period at 4 months PP while EBFing is definitely NOT common.

    I wasn't asking if I was pregnant.  That would be dumb.  Just trying to explain my situation to see if anyone had experienced the same symptoms.  Thanks for all of the response! :)

    I think after two negative pregnancy test you are most definitely pregnant. :bz

    OP never ask a forum if you are pg BUT I do know what you mean. I'm EBFing and haven't gotten my period back yet but I've felt crampy off and on for days. Negative tests so I don't think I'm pg but it is strange to feel something going on down there without AF.

    Just to get people to read and respond.  I haven't had much luck with responses before.  Probably a dumb idea, but it seemed to work.

    I have an IUD and have been experiencing cramping and no AF. But like pp, I have not been worried that I am pregnant. If you have taken two tests and they have come up negative, I would try not to worry...or call your doctor if you are concerned.

    I can't comment on the original poster wondering if she is pregnant, it's too annoying. But FWIW, I EBF and got my period 3.5 months pp and have had all sorts of pms / pregnancy like symptoms. My pedi said if your baby sleeps through the night early on you are more likely to start your period sooner. And don't hate....she has been waking up in the middle of the night the past 2 weeks. Dang sleep regression!
