"Dropped" STM's+

Baby had dropped so they say. She's now measuring 36 weeks instead of 38 1/2. And she's been on point every appointment. How long did you have to wait after baby "dropped" before you went into labor? Just curious if it varies like only being a cm dilated and losing the MP lol.... I don't feel any different any my gut says ill probably have to be induced after full term because she's pretty comfy in there lol. Just curious that's all :) thank you!

    DD dropped at 36 weeks. I went into labor 39 weeks 5 days.

    I was 3 cm, 70% and -1 station last week at 36.5 wks.  Yesterday at 37.5 I was still 3cm 80% and 0 station, so I have been "dropped" for awhile.  I really want to go this weekend.  I was 9 days overdue with my first and induced, but I never had this much progress with my 1st.

    Well I haven't listened to what people really say I look like. They have no idea. I've just been going off the actual measurements.

    I think a couple weeks with my first.  You should probably say your fundal height measurement is off now and not baby.  Baby didn't jump back in measurement right?  My fundal height measurement didn't go past 37? I think was the last one taken. That doesn't mean baby is measuring behind...

    Ah yes sorry. I just assumed everyone knew what I meant lol... Yeah the fundal height which is how you can tell baby dropped.. I was just curious how it worked for momma's already that's all.

    My DD dropped at around 36 weeks.  I was induced at 41 weeks.

    My husband and I gave our guesses today and this is what I said too lol :)

    As a FTM, I had a "loss" of 1 cm for fundal height between 34w (34 cm) and 36w (35 cm), so could that be when she got a bit lower, or was it simply variation of an inexact measurement?  At 37w my fundal height (37 cm) "recovered" and my DD was station -2 (dropping, not dropped?); I gave birth the following week (DD was large).

    Yeah you were still pretty high at -2... Ah gotcha. My baby is still on the smallish/normal side.

    I guess it's like the other indications... a baby can drop weeks before labor or as it starts, a mother can be dilated weeks before labor or as it starts... etc. ;)  GL!

    She's been super low for forever now.  I guess I probably "dropped", as in fundal height measurement, within the past week.  I was dilated to 2cm before that, at my appt on Thursday I was at 4cm and as of very early Friday morning, I've been sitting at 6cm dilation and told that I'm now in prodromal labor.  Now who the heck knows how long it will take her to grace us with her presence, could be hours/days/weeks.

    I hope for your sake it's not long at all!!

    @DreamDisney  thanks, me too!  She's proven to be quite stubborn, though, and my contractions have all but stopped atm
