July 2013 Moms

I feel like my feel are huge!!

Probably because they are now! I don't know if we talked about this yet but my feet are all kinds of crazy now and its a little depressing. Ava came on 07/03 and exactly a month later we had a wedding, so I went to grab my heels and I could not even get my foot into the shoe!! NOT ONE PAIR!! I was so sad. They have grown a whole size and my right foot's toes are wider than before. The shoe fits but not in the toe area. It was soo bad that out of nowhere my right big toe became ingrown and I had to get part of it cut to grow back right. So where do I find cute wide toed shoes for adults lol,  that aren't old people ones that the foot doctor sells (if you can picture those) .

Yeah my feet are horrible now. They went up a size :( Hmm..my grandma mentioned to me once that Bakers special orders different "wide" sizes if requested. And not old people shoes. I've always had wide feet and I think remember getting a pair from there a long time ago. Check it out!

  • My feet grew too! I had DH get my shoes down from the attic (I had been in only flip flops all summer) and only one pair, with an open back, fit. It's sad enough that none of my regular clothes fit, but shoes too? I used to be a 7.5-8 and now I am an 8.5.

My feet shrunk a size :D

    @Laurendag, are you serious?

My feet have gotten too big for most of my shoes, including my nice running shoes. :(( I've also had nonstop problems with ingrown toenails. I feel so sexy.
  • @laurendag That is nonsense lol!!!!

  • I am glad I am not alone...it seriously makes you die alittle inside when your entire closet of shoes does not fit.

  • My feet did not grow but I need to wear inserts in my shoes and they are pretty big. I like the brand Keen since they have a wide toe area. Not sure if they would be considered cute but they are super comfy.
  • Noooo! If it makes you feel better I'm in the same boat. Super sad since I'm a shoe freak...BUT these past 2 weeks I feel like my new larger shoes are getting loose so maybe there's still hope!

Yeah I went from a 6 to a 7 when I was pregnant with my son. Good news is my feet didn't change with this last pregnancy. I'm still a 7.
Pretty much me... But I went from a 6.5 to a 7... During my first pregnancy. They didn't change this time around. :)

  • My feet grew a size with my first pregnancy. They stay there, but they got a little bigger during my other pregnancies due to all the swelling.

  • My feet are a mess too. My size 6.5 shoes are too small & 7s are too big. My right foot is wider than the left & I have in grown toe nails. Urgh.
  • Omg I just put a pair of gym shoes on today and was thinking how they felt kinda tight. Never new you feet would grow after pregnancy!
  • Yup. Happened to me with my first and was so sad - I had literally just gotten into shoes in the year and a half before I got pregnant. We had 6 weddings including ours and I got all these amazing shoes. Then I actually bought quality gym shoes in different colors/styles. And I had 3 pairs from way back that I still adored. And then my son came. I told DH that he was lucky he was a boy or shoes for every dress event forever would be waiting for LO to grow into. Lol.

I still haven't gotten rid of most of them. My OB was all "they may still shrink some" when I asked him...after 4 years and 2 subsequent pregnancies, in which they have gotten bigger, I think I need to kiss my cute shoes (and feet) goodbye. I have no shoes that fit well and only 3 pairs of footwear that fit.

I remember when my Mom died (DS, my first was about 6 weeks) I lost it in the shoe aisle. Tears streaming down my cheeks bawling that I shouldn't have to be out trying on a million pairs of shoes for my now fat feet to go to my mom's funeral. From a distance, I'm sure other shoppers wondered WTF was wrong. DH and DS just stared at me, I'm sure they didn't expect it to be the shoe shopping that caused me to become crazy lady.

I still haven't found shoes that fit well. Pre-babies, I was a 6.5 - 7.5. I am now more lke an 8.5-9.5 and my feet differ which stinks - what fits my wider/bigger right foot, is too big on the left. So not only did they get bigger and wider, but I got a size discrepency.

Good thing I have cute kids - it makes the loss of cute shoes & feet more tolerable. ;)

  • I'm a size 3 on a good day so I was looking forward to my feet growing. Of course they were the only part of me that didn't grow. :-S
