Anyone else plannning an out of hospital birth?

I was just curious how many of us are planning on not going to the hospital? My plan is to deliver at a Birth Center and I'm thrilled with it. I feel so much more comfortable with that atmosphere and the midwives than I ever could with a hospital. Just wondering if anyone else was planning on a birth center or at home?

Us! If all goes as planned, we'll be delivering at a birth center, as well. My DS was born in a hospital in the states and we actually had a great experience. But for this one, I'd like to keep it simple. I'm giving birth abroad in a place that is quoted to have the third highest cesarean rates in the world, where IVs and giving birth in operating rooms are standard practice, and where newborns aren't allowed to room-in with the parents. Period. So, yeah, when we found a birth center that takes a different approach, it was an easy choice.

Check the natural birth board

There are actually a few of us here doing either birthing center and or homebirth ( I will be going birth to our 3rd child at home assisted by a midwife). The natural birth board is a great resource though.

Not planning to but my first was born on the way to the hospital so if this one comes faster he will be a home birth baby. I did consider it maybe I will check out the natural birth board.
