Grrrrrrrrr bad visit today and a little upset. :/

Maybe I am being extra sensitive.  I am going to a office with a group of RE's, so you never see the same person.  (which is fine)  Today I saw a new RE for cd3 ultrasound to get the ok to start the Clomid.  They asked if I mind a resident coming in and I was ok with it.  (thinking she was just observing)  The RE let her do the pelvic ultra sound and she had a hard time locating my ovaries and it was very uncomfortable.  I didn't get the exact count, but I believe it was 12.  (7 on one five on the other)  He said because I was early in my cycle is why, but the first RE who did the US last month found both of them right away. :/   I told him the RE found them right away last month and he tried to tell me I must of been on a later cycle day and I said nope cd3!  lmao 

Then he started talking to me about IVF and that I have coverage for it.  (ummmm, no I don't. I have a little coverage and it is only 2,000 a year)  He is the first RE out of the team there there who brought IVF up.  I tried to tell him that my husband does not want to go that route, but he proceeded to tell me that after three failed cycles we can move on to that. ._.   This is my first cycle with them...give me some hope!  

I don't want them not to give this their best effort, because they think I have coverage and will go to IVF.  I am really bummed and left there feeling this isn't going to work.  The RE who did the consult with me seem to think this could work for us, but I walked out of there today feeling not sure.  :( 



TTC since May/June 2012 
Sept 2013 testing:
SA #1 Low motility (17%) 
SA #2 Lower sperm count, but much higher motility
CD 3 Bloodwork and ultrasound - Normal HSG - Clear tubes 
Oct/Nov 2013 Cycle 1 with RE 50 mg Clomid + Ovidrel + IUI BFN  
Nov/Dec 2013 Cycle 2 with RE 50 mg Clomid + Ovidrel + IUI BFN

    Me DX: Hashimotos,Hypothyroid, DOR, MTHFR,  DH: normal

     IUI #1-#4 BFNs and a few cancelled cycles in the mix.
    - poor responder
    ***Suprise BFP on 6/13/13. Natural MC @6wks 3days
    IVF#1 and 2- Cancelled due to no response on max stimms
    FET 5/20- BFP
    1st Beta- 641
    2nd beta- 2166
    Sono- TWINS!!!!
    Two Boys! Born January 2015 @36 weeks.  Healthy and no NICU!  So blessed!

    I believe we are going to the same group.  You are in South NJ right?  

    I can see how things can fall through the cracks easily.  I wish I can stick with one of the RE's. He also asked me today if I was coming in for the IUI this cycle.  He must of just quickly glanced at my chart before coming in.

    I made sure the next appointment was not with him!  Not sure if I can decline him all together. Maybe he was having a off day, so I will give him another chance.

    Yes I am!  Hey PM me and let me know which Dr you're talking about. I'm curious.  I've gotten most of my scheduling down to 2 doctors, but some things can't be controlled.   I haven't had any major problems so far knock on wood.

    @cls78 so sorry you had to go thru' that. As PP said can you not request not to see that RE? I also go to an office we 3 RE, but I have a primary one assigned to my case. I have only seen one of the other RE's for my ER bc she was on call that weekend. I was also surprised that your RE does the U/S, I've always had the nurses do them and them the RE calls me to discuss it and the new plan.

    IVF #1: 9/15 ER= 9 mature eggs, all eggs made it thru vitrification
    10/23 ICSI 6 fertilized; 10/28 5dt of two morulas. Hold on to me babies, stick, stick, stick!!
    11/6 BFP EDD 7/14/14 Beta #1= 18; 11/9 Beta #2= 44.8; 11/12 Beta #3= 7 = Early loss @4w6d. No frosties
    Feb 2014 Hysterscopy = no septum seen ute all clear in the inside

    You'd think that they'd be on the ball, what with specializing in such a personal field. Bring it up at your next appt and see what another doc says. Maybe they can talk with the doc you had and just let them know that they should look at the chart BEFORE the appt :-)
