Stupid vaginal CYST!!

So ive had a cyst down there for 2 weeks !!! I had my post partum apt on Wednesday. THe midwife kinda poked it but I SCREAMED! it hurt so she stopped. She gave me anti biotics and told me to put heating pads. Still hasn't gone away. Its so painful to wear underwear and walk. This sucks. Did anyone else get one? I heard its common after pregnancy???

Is it a bartholins cyst? I am a nurse in the ER and have had to assist with draining them. From what I've seen they are terribly painful. If you don't show improvement in 2 days of antibiotics I would ask her about draining it. There's a tiny tiny tube they place to allow it to drain and heal from the inside out.

Is it a bartholin cyst? I've been dealing with them for years. I pretty much always have the swollen gland but it's usually painless. Every 13-18 months it flares up, gets huge, and gets really painful. I just had it drained for the 4th time yesterday. Thankfully I'm not a typical case, most people don't have them come back once they're taken care of. Hope you feel better soon!

I've had a bartholins cyst. It sucks butt. So so painful.Mine was ssurgically removed though its way more common to drain it. My scared and embarrassed 17 year old self (my first visit to the gyno was because of this!) didn't know that and I just went with what the doctor said. I don't know why I was never given another option!

Yeah I was told that if in 2 days it doesn't get better to call in so it can be drained. I hope they numb me first cause I wont do it without numbing me it hurts to much..... THis is the first time Ive had it.

RIght now I placed an onion on it lol My mom and my in laws all said the same thing. They said its a remedy commonly used in Mexico LOL if this doesn't work I guess I will cal in Monday :-(

Sitz baths can sometimes help it come to a head and pop on its own. I've had one drain by itself that way and it really wasn't painful (the popping/draining) I was in the ER waiting for them to lance it... So then the doc cleaning it out the rest of the way was pretty bad. When I've had it lanced in the office they always numb it first and it's really not bad. Way less painful (even during recovery) than the cyst itself. I had it done yesterday at 3:30, I was moderately uncomfortable yesterday evening, but back to probably 98% this morning. Just use your peri bottle when you pee, just like postpartum, that's the most uncomfortable part of the whole process.
