Sore hands

Every time I wake up (in the morning or after a nap) my hands and fingers are in pain, such that trying to close them REALLY hurts. They feel kind of swollen but don't look like it.

Is this pregnancy-induced carpal tunnel? I don't spend a ton of time on the computer, although lately I have been knitting during the day (not today though).

Yep, I have the same thing. Asked my OB at last weeks checkup and it's very common and unfortunately not a lot you can do other than sleeping with wrist braces, cold compress, and Tylenol if the pain is severe. Tends to be worse at night. OB said it will go away after delivery.

I have noticed the same thing.  I thought it was from swelling but now that you mention it, my hands hurt right now but don't look very swollen. Not a fan of this!

I don't get pain, but I get all that tingling and numbness like my arm is asleep.  I told my OB and he did say this was normal and part of the carpal tunnel pregnancy issue.
