When did Friday nights get so boring?

I miss dinner dates with my husband on Friday nights, and just being able to hang out with him or go off and do something spontaneous. I'm so bored and lonely (yes, this is a whining post). I seriously just want to go to sleep to pass the time, but I have such bad heartburn right now that I can't even lie down. Just sittin' here, bumping and FBing after spending most of the night working on a course project. I've always kind of been a homebody, but I don't think I've ever felt so lame.

I think Friday nights got boring when we got pregnant

I hope the heartburn goes away

. I've got prescription Zantac (Ranitidine) which you might want to check out. It's about double strength and I find it helps me out bigtime!!

@Dishylo, I should ask at my next appt on Tuesday because this is getting ridiculous. It keeps me up, and then wakes me up all night long after I do finally fall asleep. I didn't have heartburn at all until about a week ago, now it's near constant.

Yeah I'm feeling pretty lame these days. Basically we ate dinner, DH went upstairs to watch the hockey game at 7:30, I immediately fell asleep on the couch until 10:00, then watched 20/20. PRETTY exciting stuff for a Friday night, let me tell ya.

You don't need a prescription for the ranitidine. It's in the heartburn section at Walmart. The have actual Zantac too, but the generic Walmart brand is cheaper. Last pregnancy I asked the pharmacist and this is what she told me to take. I started taking again this pregnancy around 22-24 weeks. I pretty much take it everyday and have no heartburn issues anymore.

ETA: I spent 2 hours working in my classroom and still have to go back Sunday, I'm pretty boring over the weekend in general, lol.

Yeah I'd highly suggest the Zantac....I take the 150 mg one twice a day and it really takes the edge off. Definitely on the boring train though...I'm amazed I'm still awake I haven't seen 11:30 in awhile..I'm starting to feel old:(

We went to build the crib tonight, and then found out we had a twin bed from the same IKEA line! Uggggggh. So, those wildly exciting plans turned into Homeland and hot chocolate. Woo. Hoo!

My babe is at work every friday/saturday (hell almost every day and night), and I just sit here doing not fun stuff, being bored. Also after he unpacked me from our move from San Diego to Washington over Summer, he went back to our hometown for a month. I'm in a city where I know no one, so I've never been so bored or felt so lonely/lame in my life!

Not even remotely comparable to what you are going through, but I hear ya.

I've started sleeping propped up on 2 pillows to prevent heartburn, and still sometimes it's so bad it wakes me up. Plus I wanted to go to bed at 8:15 tonight.... So lame.

We went out to pick up my necklace that was being repaired ($800 necklace & I broke the chain in 2 weeks!). I wanted to go home, Husband wanted Outback. So we went to Outback and I had soup while I watched him eat filet & lobster tail.

Then he told me I was walking funny & we should go get me new shoes. So we go to DSW to get the tall boots or slip on sneakers I've been debating about ordering online. Nope, they didn't have either in our store so I got irrationally upset (basically just short of throwing a 2yr old temper tantrum....I'm not proud of myself), which got him upset because I "ruined the nice night", and we haven't talked since we got home.

@mommy grams - the prescription is simply double the strength. The over the counter is the lighter version. My heartburn is so bad I need the double strength!!

@RedSaffron Yeah, I ate about half a bowl of french onion soup while he ate med rare filet mignon. Not my idea of a fun dinner at Outback. I really, really want med rare steak, and he knows it. He normally orders his at least medium, if not medium well, so it was almost like he was teasing me! I'm never super hungry anymore, so to me it's not worth it to go out, but he really likes to go out to the same 2 or 3 chain restaurants over & over again....

And as for the shoes....it started with a dig that I was walking with my toes out and he'd have to "work with me" to fix it because it was going to ruin my Uggs. Ummm, yeah, I've never walked like that before in my life, so obviously it's pregnancy related (baby is nuzzled down in my super painful hips right now).....but I wasn't going to turn down a chance for new shoes. I think the comment got me upset, and it just all went downhill from there when they didn't have them in stock.

I went to bed at 8, DH got off at 10 and is in the other room to sleep because I snore like a freight train and am basically a furnace.

I was lame prepregnancy but now its even worse. At least instead of feeling sorry for myself I am always either sleeping, working, or doing chores, so its not too bad.

I do have a Halloween party today/tonight. Feeling pretty wild!

Ok, ok. It's mixed with a kids party and again, the 7 months pregnant thing. Not so wild but should be a lot of fun.

My night was SUPER exciting too. Homemade pizza, in my pajamas by 6pm, watched a Scandal marathon and then went to bed at 10pm. Haha, I like it boring though!
