Last night I dropped my LO off at my sister's house so I could go to church choir practice (this will be my 1st Sunday back! ). I was explaining his feeding schedule and how to mix the formula when I noticed she was crying while holding him. I asked what was wrong and she told me that she had an abnormal cervical biopsy and needs further testing. She doesn't want our mom or other sister to know. She went on to say that she is afraid not only of a possible cancer diagnosis, but also of infertility. I felt horrible shoving my baby in her face!
I tried to reassure her that it may not be that serious and offered to come to any appointments etc. Does anyone have any experience with this? I honestly don't know what abnormal cells could mean other than the worst case scenario.
Re: T&Ps for my sister pls
This happened to me, too. The colposcopy wasn't painful and they just monitored me closely for 2 years, but all was fine and I managed to get pregnant the second month of trying, so I'd say my fertility wasn't affected! Sending good thoughts her way!

I had two colposcopies and one LEEP. After the LEEP with moderate to severe cells. I had a normal pap afterwards. There are many steps doctors take in this kind of thing. I know what she might be feeling but what helped me was knowing whatever happens I was doing whatever I could to keep myself healthy.
