dog lovers---I need you!

I just made that emotional call to the vet to schedule my dogs euthanasia tomorrow. ugh it hurts so badly. he was my first baby and he is only 5 years old but has lymphoma. he got me through my dad dying and moving and having our first baby. I am scared to face life without my precious pup. he is a boxer/lab mix, 85 lbs-- but always my cuddly lap dog. glad I have 14 month old to keep me busy.

Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry! Losing a fur baby is so hard. I hope you are at peace with the decision that you made to ease your pet's suffering. It would almost be easier if they decided to leave us on their own (almost), but they often don't. It's ok to cry and grieve. Big hugs to you!

Aw I'm sorry

I have lost a couple dogs in my life. It is just like loosing a family member. My last dog I lost to seizures and low blood sugar. I feel your pain.

I'm so sorry!! The last dog I lost the day before we took her in we made a stepping stone for the yard with her foot prints in it. I'm very glad we made the stone it's a nice reminder.

I'm so incredibly sorry! I had to put down my 10 yr old boxer due to heart problems/syncopal episodes. It was the worst thing we've had to experience as a family. I pray you find peace in this decision. Knowing they won't be suffering anymore is what got me through it.

I keep crying thinking about this. My pup is 3.5 and has been struggling with an autoimmune disease that left her anorexic. She's finally gaining weight. I thought I was going to lose her a few months back. I'm so sorry you're losing your furry companion. Take comfort that you gave him a great 5 years.

I am so sorry. I have worked at a vet hospital for 16 yrs I know how tough this can be. I lost 2 dogs and 1 cat in a 4 month span.

I'm so so sorry to hear that! I had to put down my golden retriever that we had for exactly 12 years to the day, and he had a long good life and I was a MESS for WEEKS. As crazy as this sounds, I sometimes wonder how the new baby I'm going to love so much more than my dogs is even possible because my fur babies I treat like children! But hang in there, I PROMISE it gets way better

Get a clay paw print made in his memory if you can. Those are so nice to have. My thoughts and prayers are with you! **hugs**

OMG! I am sooo sorry. My dogs are my babies. One of mine has been sick since he was 6 months..$ 60k later he's is now almost 4, but it's day by day. We never know when he may get sick again and he most likely won't survive this time. He almost died 1.5 years ago. I feel your pain and I'm so sorry..

. I know how you feel though. We had to put down our Labrador because she had cancer... I would have loved to have her around for my first baby but that's life I guess... All we can do is move on and wait to fall in love with another puppy when the time is right.

The vet that I worked for we would always give clay paw prints to owners. I have a few. Love having them as keepsakes.
