UPDATE in need of prayers. ..

This morning I had a particularly difficult bowel movement and when it was done I had quite a bit of vaginal bleeding. I was shocked by it really. Now I am feeling some cramps, but pretty mild. I was given the choice of seeing my dr when he gets in at 930 our going to the hospital. Having done the 12 hour trip to the hospital early on in this pregnancy I chose the dr, since the bleeding seems to have stopped. I'm very scared though, and just hoping little Theodore holds on

has anyone had this bleeding and had it turn out ok?

Thank you guys so much for your thoughts and prayers - it did turn out to be a popped blood vessel thank God! Im lucky to have such a great doctor who really calmed me down and explained everything to me, and a terrific husband who came 45 minutes home without even hearing the details of why I was going, he just knew to be there. Your prayers worked, thanks! !!!

Prayers that everything is fine. I did have a lot of bleeding with both my pregnancies; with DD due to my over sensitive cervix, this time due to a SCH and so far so good, but I have never had bleeding this far along into pregnancy.

ETA: I just thought about it, bleeding could be related to something like placenta previa which is not the end of the World, but you'll have to be more careful or it could be nothing serious at all, but then again it could be in fact something. Don't stress out too much about it (easier said than done...I know), but don't worry until they tell you there is a reason to worry.

Prayers for you and LO. I have no experience like that. Are you sure the bleeding was vaginal and not rectal? I'd suggest calling your OB, I know the idea of a trip to ER/Dr may not be fun but it would put you at ease and provide information.

This was exactly my thought - it sounds like a burst hemorrhoid which perversely would probably be welcome! Good luck with your MD visit, I hope it's nothing.

I have had bleeding from my placenta previa. Straining too much can definitely cause it. Hope everything is ok!

You may have popped a blood vessel on your cervix from straining. I had bleeding a few times last pregnancy and it usually followed a difficult BM.
