SALT!

Anyone else craving salt? I have had salt cravings before pregnancy but now they are really strong. Yesterday I almost went out just to buy chips. I made myself popcorn but it wasn't salty enough. I even put extra salt on Kraft Dinner! And I am eating cheese like crazy.

    Yummy! Except for the extra salt on KD -that just sounds gross to me.

    Absolutely.  I normally have sweet cravings, but now give me ALL the salt!

    I craved salt the first couple of weeks. Now.. No thanks. I gag at the thought.

    I cannot have enough salt. What i want most in the world is fries. Hot, salty fries. I am drooling at the thought. I'm going to be a whale by the end of this pregnancy.

    Same here. We were at a home improvement store over the weekend and they were selling salt blocks for horses. I told DH that I needed one. I always go to the Wendy's near my house now because they always over salt their fries. So delicious.

    Hehe! The way we think when we are pregnant.  I've been loving pretzels this go around and salty popcorn.

    I have heard that cravings are related to underlying body messages you body is telling you of more you need. For example craving cheese or ice cream means your body wants more calcium, craving red meats means your body wants more iron. Same with salt- I have read sometimes your body craves salt because it forces us to drink more water (which our body may be needing)

    Mmmmm I'm all about the salty.  I normally have a killer sweet tooth so it is a little odd for me to be favoring salt over sweet, but I can't get enough!

    All I ever want is salt!  My sweet husband bought me chocolate and cookies, but all I really want is pretzels, pickles, chips, popcorn, etc.  Looking forward to having seasoned fish and mac n' cheese tonight.  Yum!

    I definitely have a salt issue. This is not pregnancy related, I have always had this issue and will often go out just to buy kettle brand chips. When I was in college they didn't have my favorite flavor at any of the stores near me, so I wrote to kettle brand and they sent me 5 free bags.

    I have a problem.

    Yes! I am going to my parents' tonight, mainly because they have teenagers and therefore several kinds of CHIPS!!

    I love me some salt! I always have to pair it with something sweet (it's been grapes lately). So I ususally do Ruffles in Fritos brand bean dip and some grapes. It's amazing!
