Baby book

So, I wanted to have one of those baby photo books printed for the in-laws, my parents and MH for Christmas. I wanted to take a poem MH wrote for L and illustrate it with pictures of L. I looked on Shutterfly, but it doesn't look like you can put your own text in theirs. I also looked at Snapfish, but I don't know anyone who has ever used Snapfish so I don't know how good it is.

Have any of you had baby photo books made in which you put in your own text? What company, how long did it take and how much did they cost? Thanks for the help!

    You can definitely put your own text in the shutterfly.  Once you create it there should be an "add text" button...it will add a text box to the page that you can then write in and adjust the font/color, etc.  It's similar to adding text to a power point presentation.

    Like PP you can add text on shutter fly. (I have done it). The pre-made layouts already have text boxes in them and once you get to the editing section you can make them bigger/smaller, add text boxes, move their location. That was a pleasent surprise to me was once in the edit phase it is 99% customizable! Everything can be moved/changed :)

    Use shutterfly all the time and you can completely customize the books so yes, adding your own text is easy.

    I use shutterfly for a ton of stuff, but have also used snapfish -- if by "baby book" you just mean creating a photo album, you can add your own text using any of the sites.

    Also, make sure you check www.retailmenot.com for coupons because they have them ALL THE TIME (like, but 1 get 2 free photo albums).

    Yes, this. I just made a baby book that I am sending to family as Christmas gifts, and I tweaked nearly every page in some way. Just add text boxes and type in whatever text you want.
