Where have you traveled in US? Outside US?

I've traveled a TON! Europe, Asia, Caribbean, Australia&NZ, central & south america. I think I'm in the high 30s for states visited. My siggy pic is DH and I hiking in Peru.

How do you feel before boarding an airplane? Describe it in 5 words or less. Excited!

Has LO(s) done any traveling? Describe their travel experience(s). We flew to New England For a family wedding this summer. She was a trooper! We also did a small road trip this past spring in our state to test our travel-worthiness with a baby in tow.

Favorite place you've ever visited? Sydney, AU & Tegucigalpa, Hondruas.

Best hotel/resort you'd recommend for a family trip? Anything that has a door to a separate sitting area or second bedroom. J goes down at 7, so kinda early to shutdown for the night.

How do you feel about Disney? In your opinion, what's the best age to bring LOs to Disney? I'm fine with Disney, but I get crowd claustrophobic (not scared, but just crabby and bitchy when I'm crowded and waiting). Disney sounds like it would pluck my last nerve. My guessing kindergarten?

YAY! I LOVE traveling!

Where have you traveled in US?

Starting from the West: Hawaii, Seattle, Bay Area, LA, San Diego (and points in between), Nevada (Vegas & Reno), Grand Canyon, arches national park (Arizona), S Dakota, Montana, Omaha Nebraska, TX (we lived there for 5 years so have visited quite a bit of the state), Chicago, New Orleans, Many parts of FL including Key West, Kentucky, Great Smoky Mtns, all 6 New England States, NYC, many parts of PA (lived there for 6 yrs), Delaware, Maryland, DC, baltimore etc.

Have done many road trips half-way across the US (Boston to TX and vice versa for about 6 times), LA-TX once.

Outside US?

Europe- UK, Spain, Portugal, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Litchenstein, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Russia

Asia- China, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines, Japan, South Korea

How do you feel before boarding an airplane? Describe it in 5 words or less.

Hope I don't get sick.

Road trip or air travel - preference?

Really depends - depends on how long I have, and purpose of the trip. If the purpose is to GET to a destination and spend time there, then definite air travel. If the purpose is the journey itself, then I don't mind road trip.

Has LO(s) done any traveling? Describe their travel experience(s).

We went on a vacation (by car) to Philadelphia when M was 5 months. He was unhappy in his car seat.

Favorite place you've ever visited?

Hard to choose one... I'll have to say: London, Vienna, Bruges, and Barcelona.

Best hotel/resort you'd recommend for a family trip?

I probably will say, holiday rental for an apt or house. If it has to be a hotel, we have a good experience with Residence Inn on our last trip. Each room is a suite and has a full kitchen.

How do you feel about Disney? In your opinion, what's the best age to bring LOs to Disney?

I don't mind it, but I'm definitely not crazy about it. DH didn't go to Disney until he was 30 years old! Hopefully we'll get M there before he turns 30!

WE TOOK DS TO MAUI WHEN HE WAS ONE. HE WAS A TROOPER AND SINCE WE STUCK TO HIS NAP SCHEDULE IT ACTUALLY FORCED US TO RELAX. BEST PART WAS SNORKLING AS A FAMILY.

Favorite place you've ever visited? I CANT DECIDE. I DO LOVE MAUI THOUGH.

Best hotel/resort you'd recommend for a family trip? I CANT THINK OF ONE

How do you feel about Disney? In your opinion, what's the best age to bring LOs to Disney? LOVE DISNEY. TAKING LO WHEN HE IS 5.

Where have you traveled in US? California, Hawaii, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Oregon, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington DC. Outside US? Mexico, St Thomas, St Maarten, Aruba, Bahamas, Colombia, Costa Rica, Jamaica, Panama, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, England, Ireland.

How do you feel before boarding an airplane? Describe it in 5 words or less. Scared out of my mind.

Road trip or air travel - preference? I prefer the train. I just love riding on trains

Has LO(s) done any traveling? Describe their travel experience(s). Yes! G has flown to Cancun and Florida and been on road trips in California, and next week we are going to St. Louis, Missouri with him. He has done very well with traveling.

Favorite place you've ever visited? Southern France is my absolute favorite place in the world. So beautiful, such nice people, and wonderful food.

Best hotel/resort you'd recommend for a family trip? All-inclusives are great for families.

How do you feel about Disney? In your opinion, what's the best age to bring LOs to Disney? We are pretty obsessed with Disney. We live 10 miles from Disneyland and have season passes, so we are there all the time. We have been going since we met in 1999, have always had passes, had our engagement photos done there, started taking Grayson when he was two months old and just went to Disneyworld with him for the first time a few weeks ago. Any age is good, in my opinion

Where have you traveled in US? Outside US? I have been to 30 states, including Hawaii so too many to list! Highlights are a Washington DC trip in Jr. High where we visited 4 states, a road trip to Chicago with my parents and brother in high school going one route to get there and another to get home, and a road trip to Virginia a few years ago with DH and FIL, also taking one route there and another back. Outside of the US is Mexico.

How do you feel before boarding an airplane? Describe it in 5 words or less. Excited to go somewhere!

Road trip or air travel - preference? Depends on where I'm going and who with. I wish the road trip with my FIL would've been a flight but we were driving to buy canoes (don't ask). I love to fly but I also like road trips.

Has LO(s) done any traveling? Describe their travel experience(s). We are two hours from our hometown and go home all the time. H is great with travel, he usually plays for a while then conks out until we get there. We haven't done farther than 3.5 hours though and no planes yet.

Favorite place you've ever visited? Hawaii - it's so pretty and totally different from my scenery. I also liked the Grand Canyon although it was more of how we got there that I really liked the most.

Best hotel/resort you'd recommend for a family trip? No recs from me. We haven't stayed anywhere like that since becoming a family of 3.

How do you feel about Disney? In your opinion, what's the best age to bring LOs to Disney? I've never been to Disney and would love to go. I want to take H when he's old enough to remember it. DH has an idea to take H on a big birthday trip for his 5th, 10th, and 15th birthdays, with his 5th being at Disney World.

---hope I don't puke!

---because I get air sick, road travel is less gross, but I love traveling so much I suck it up for planes

---none, she's only been out of NICU two weeks

Furthest we've gone is Costco about 20min away

Favorite place you've ever visited?
---NYC, Paris

Best hotel/resort you'd recommend for a family trip?
---not sure bc we only stay in marriott properties...family member works for them and we get friends/family rates!

How do you feel about Disney? In your opinion, what's the best age to bring LOs to Disney?
---I went when I was 9 and DH has never been. Want to take LO, but will probably wait until we're done having kids and go once

For a family, not sure! I'd love to check out a Beaches resort

How do you feel about Disney? In your opinion, what's the best age to bring LOs to Disney? No idea! I think I was 6 when we went to Disney!

I've been to every state from Maine to Florida on the East Coast with the exception of Delaware. I've also been to PA, OH, IL, NV, CA, AZ, TX and Michigan.

Outside the US - I've been all over the Caribbean and to the Greek Isles.

We took her to Maine this summer and it was a colossal disaster. Avoiding travel for a while.

Best hotel/resort you'd recommend for a family trip? No idea, I think there are good ones every where you go though!

How do you feel about Disney? In your opinion, what's the best age to bring LOs to Disney?

I love Disney - but I absolutely hate Belle Bippity Botique or whatever it's called. My SIL takes her LO's there every year and sends out a picture of them all made up and I hate it. THey look like they are 16. I don't know but it really bothers me. I think the best age for LO's first trip will be 4 or 5. I'd like her to be old enough to somewhat remember it and recognize the characters. I can't wait to experience her excitement of anticipation whenever the time does come though.
