Bitch about something here.
At work this week I've been absolutely _plagued_ by presentations and emails with acronyms made plural by adding " 's ". Argh!!!!
The GBU's will need to...
CFB's are handled by....
It makes me want to yell "The GBU's what?!?" The CFB's what?!?!?"
Re: Random Vent/Whine
Hah. Both those are standard here as well.
The one that's unique here (as far as I know) and is like nails on a chalkboard to me is the use of "corky dots" instead of bullets.
As an example - "Can we make a one-pager on that? Just a few corky dots is all we need."
Maybe they're intending as a contraction?
"A Chili Cheese footlong is $2. A Hamburger is $3."
I work in compliance. My entire job is acronyms. I call it the alphabet soup job. And sometimes I attempt to build long sentences of 100% corporate-ease for my own amusement.
"Institutionalize continuous improvement by leveraging the synergies of integration at our interfaces."
