Home remedies to thicken lining?

Had a check this morning and I have only gone from a 6 to a 6.5 in three days in EV, estrace and nitro patches.  I'm willing to try anything at this point!  What old wives tales or home remedies have you heard of to thicken lining that I can add to my drug cocktail?  Things I should avoid?  I wasn't even this thin on clomid! The good news is I do have triple strip characteristics and we have a little more time to get it nice and thick.

TTC since 3/2011 Adenomyosis, LPD, hypothyroidism. 
BFP on 7/20/12 after 4 cycles Clomid + IUI 
2 large subchorionic hematomas & no heartbeat at 7w6d   
D&E 8/18/12 Sonohysterography found septum and necrotic tissue.   
Hysteroscopy to remove both 10/5
IUI #5-7 50mg Clomid + trigger = BFN  
IUI #8 Femara + Bravelle + HCG + Progesterone = BFP 3/27/13
Beta 1 (13dpo) = 169  Beta 2 (17dpo) = 1073  No heartbeat at 9w3d. 
D & C 5/10/13  Triploidy 69 (paternal inherited)
IVF #1 with ICSI and PGS 11R 8M 5F 2 biopsied/frozen
PGS results = 1 with trisomy 13 & 1 good embryo for FET 
FET #1 EV, estrace, nitro patches.  Cancelled due to thin lining
FET #1.2 oral estrace, f'ing nitro patches and no delestrogen.  Transfer 12/31. BFN
PAIF/SAIF welcome
Surprise BFP on 6/13/14  Our only unmedicated bfp ever.
Beta #1 339  Beta #2 649 44 hour doubling time

    Thanks for posting this.  I was going to ask the same thing.  My transfer was cancelled in August due to thin lining (was a 6.2 2 days before FET date) and since then, I've been on estrodial to help build it up for a few months before we do a transfer (hopefully in December).  I went in today (CD12) and my lining was only a 5.2.  So, it's not working well at all.  They are upping my estrodial next cycle to 12mg/day to see if that helps at all.  I'm so sick of waiting.  I've also heard that royal jelly helps (I"m taking the pill form) and also drinking the raspberry leaf tea.  Good luck to you!!

    TTC since 9/2011. DH - 32, me 32.

    IUI#1 (natural): BFN; IUI#2 (clomid): BFN; IUI#3 (clomid and follistim): BFN.

    IVF #1 March 2013, freeze all (OHSS).

    FET#1 June: BFN

    FET#2 August: delayed due to thin lining (6.3).  Took a few months off to try and thicken the lining with lots of estrodial.  FET#2.2 December: Cancelled due to thin lining (4.8). Two frosties left.

    *New RE* Sonohystrogram and hystereoscopy done in Feb.

    IVF #2: ER 3/4/14  ET 3/7/14, transferred 3, 3 day 9 cell perfect embryos.  No frosties.

    Beta #1 (14dp3dt) 504

    Beta #2 (21dp3dt) 11,561

    First ultrasound on 4/3/14 showed 3 sacs: one empty and two with beating hearts!!  At 7w2d, found out that one baby did not have a heartbeat anymore.  Praying that baby B makes it.  Baby B is a girl!

    EDD 11/25/14 BORN 11/29/14

    I took more 1mg estrace tablets-- but at the discretion of my RE. 3 in the AM, 3 in the PM- I went from 6 to 8 in less than a week

    PCO & MTHFR Homozygous/Severe MFI (undescended teste & double hernia as baby)

    12/12: 50mg clomid= bfn
    1/13: 100mg clomid= bfn
    2/13: 100mg clomid= bfn 
    6/13: IVF/ICSI (x1 4AA)=BFFN ~49R, 44M, 33F, 14 frosties  OHSS
    8/13: FET #1 (x1 4AA)=First EVER BFP 4dp5dt!! d&c @ 6.5 wks, blighted ovum
    10/13: FET #2 (x2 4AA)= BFP 4dp5dt! Twins!!, perfect u/s then spontaneous m/c @ 5 wks
    11/13= RPL/Karotyping= MTHFR Homozygous c667t
    1/14= FET #3 our 2 year anniversary & hopefully our miracle

    **PAIF**

    This isn't a home rememdy, but could you ask your dr about intrauterine neupogen? I used it with my successful cycle due to a thin lining. It is administered at Egg retrieval.

    Age: 35 TTC since 2005, MFI & DOR 

    IVF #1 Sep '11 - canceled poor response

     IVF #2 Nov '11  8R/8M/4F 3dt x2 - chemical

    IVF #3 April '12  11R/6M/4F 3dt x2 - m/c

    FET #1 Aug 2012  3dt x2 - BFN

    **new RE**

     IVF #4 Jan '13 BFN 11R/6M/6F 5dt x2 - BFN

     IVF #5 July '13 16R/10M/10F 5dt x2 + 1 frostie

    9dp5dt Beta 1 = 344!! 16dp5dt. Beta 2 = 4822 7wk u/s= 2 heartbeats!

    They mentioned this today.  I think they are holding out until my appointment on Tuesday to see how things go.  I don't know much about it.  My nurse said it worked like velcro to help the embryo attach.  I'm off to do some research.  Thanks!

    I took wheat germ capsules and Pom capsules to help with lining. The neupogen wash and vaginal Viagra have helped some girls. Both are pricey and I've never heard of an insurance company covering it. Worse case scenario you can't get a decent lining then stim lightly and the natural estrogen from your ovaries will produce a nice lining. Menopur works best and you can supplement bravelle in with it since its cheaper.

    My lining for fet 2 made it to 7. Things we added were:an endometrial scratch /biopsy, vaginal estrace (in addition to im delestrogen for an extended period of time, I want to say 3 or 4 weeks), daily baby aspirin and 1000 mg of omega 3. The vaginal viagra didn't help me when we added it to fet 1. Good luck!! I hope it thickens up for you.

    Married June 2011 Dx: anovulatory due to prolactinoma (1.5cmx 1.5cm in 2006)
    April 2012: MRI- questionable cyst 8mg by 12mm in pituitary ; referred to RE by Ob-gyn after amenorrhea x 4+ months, provera ineffective, low estrogen level
    cycle 1: May 2012, clomid 50mg; cycle cancelled, thin lining, no response
    cycle 2: June 2012, femara 5mg; cycle cancelled, no response
    cycle 3: July 2012, femara 7.5mg; cycle cancelled (largest folli on Cd12 & cd 16: 11, lining 4)
    Repeat MRI July 25,2012- Cyst unchanged, likely old infarction.
    Aug. 8: met with RE, move to injectables if HSG and SA normal
    Aug. 23: HSG all clear; DH- perfect
    Switched to a new RE in early Sept. IVF here we come
    Genetic testing reveals: Fragile X- Intermediate risk/grey zone.
    IVF#1: ER 11/30: 14 retrieved, 10 mature, 7 fertilized. E2 prior to trigger 5200. Decision made to freeze 6 embryos and transfer later due to OHSS.
    IVF#1.2/FET #1: estrogen injects start 1/18, FET delayed to try to thicken lining. lining 5.4mm. FET- 2/18- transferred one 3AA expanded blast. BFP 5dp5dt. Beta #1- 2/27 9dp5dt- 102.27 beta #2 3/1: 147 :(, beta #3 3/4: 268 told to stop meds and let nature take its course. requested 4th beta (3/6); Beta hell for 2 months.

    FET # 2: endometrial scratch 5/6, added estrace vaginally and ASA to delestrogen and PIO. June 10- transferred one 4AA hatched embryo, BFP 4dp6dt, Beta 1 (9dp6dt) 187, Beta 2 (11dp6dt): 412; Beta 3 (15dp6dt ): 4452. U/S #1- one beautiful embryo with a heartbeat of 133 at 7 weeks.  8 weeks: heartbeat 156. EDD 2/26/2014: born 2-3-14 induced due to Pre-E and HELLP at 36w5d.

    12/1: met with RE to discuss trying for #2

    Insurance doesn't cover anything for us so we are used to paying out the nose for everything. :-(. I have menopur and bravelle left over if we need it. Stocked up on Pom on my way home from work.

    I did acupuncture and my acupuncturist recommended running castor oil over my whole belly and putting a towel over that (one you don't mind getting oily), then wearing a heating pad over that on the belly for 30 mins. It helped me a lot! I didn't get my lining past a 6 the first time I tried FET, but second try I got to a 9. I did this 1-2x a day.

Freeze-All IVF#2: May 2013 ER 5/15. 31R, 21M, 20F. 6 5AA frozen blasts. Our PGD probe was completed in late June (total of 20 weeks to develop). PGD and PGS Results came on 6/19: 3 healthy embryos (normal chromosomes and unaffected by my family's genetic disorder). FET #1: July 2013 Natural Cycle - Cancelled due to insufficient lining (only got to 7.5mm). FET #1.2: August 2013 - Medicated Cycle with Lupron & Estrogen Patches to build up lining. Single embryo transfer was 8/23. Beta #1: 240! Beta #2: 578! U/S on 9/19 at 6w4d: We saw the heart beating at 131bpm. Second U/S on 10/4 at 8w5d: We saw the heart beating at 178bpm. EDD 5/11/2014

    Ultrasound: 2.15.14 - Twins!

    The neupogen for me was roughly $400 for 1ml and the vaginal Viagra was roughly $10 per insert used 2x day for I think about 3w. Just giving you an idea of cash prices for the meds. My insurance also doesn't cover jack. But once you get your bfp that changes so call them at that point to find out if they will cover it. Hope this helps.
