Flying tomorrow!

I'm headed to FL for a friend's baby shower. I wasn't due until the very end of September, so I wasn't expecting to make it, but said if he was 6 weeks by the time I had to fly then I would come. One good thing about him coming early :)

I'm excited for my vacation away from my toddler. To not have to think about potty training, or watching what I say, or fruit snacks for 2 days sounds like a dream!

Anyone else flying soon? I hate nursing on the plane when my husband is not the one sitting next to me. One time I was next to a 14 year old boy, that was the only time I felt super weird about breastfeeding.

Re: Flying tomorrow!

  • We fly Monday to visit my folks. Two hour non-stop flight. Hopefully he will think it is just a really crowded car and sleep through the whole thing.

  • We just finished our first flight a couple weeks ago when he was 1 month old. Piece of cake! Had two 3 1/2 hour flights and luckily he slept through both except when eating. Even then he wasn't really awake. I did have to sit next to strangers both flights, but thank goodness all older folks who had been parents themselves and were very supportive.
I could even wake DS to nurse on one take off and one landing, so I am very grateful the pressure didn't bug his little ears!
Gettin through the airport with a 2 1/2 year old, however. THERE is the challenge!
I thought moving across the country with a newborn would be so hard. No way. But moving with a two year old? Now that is just stupid.
