We saw the heartbeat!!!

This morning we had our first ultrasound, and we got to see the heartbeat. It was very surreal - I thought I would feel calmer and relieved, but honestly I only feel a little panicked - it's so REAL. I think it will help immensely to tell our family and close friends - with the view of the heartbeat, we're down to only a 2% chance of miscarriage, so we're feeling more confident, if anything.

I am apparently 6.5 weeks - due date is June 14th, 2014. Anybody else tell grandparents and friends so early?

We are a little nervous about it, but ultimately feel like it's the right thing to do.

We plan to tell my family after seeing the heartbeat, but probably won't tell anyone else.

We also saw a heartbeat this morning. We were so relieved since we just has a miscarriage in June. Our due date is June 16th. We plan on telling the grandparents next week.

That's so exciting! My appointment is this coming Tuesday and I CANNOT wait. I've told a few close friends and we told our parents, but I'll be sharing the news a bit more widely if everything looks good! I'll be 8 weeks when I get the ultrasound.

Congratulations! Seeing that little flicker is absolutely amazing!
We told just grandparents and our siblings right after we saw the heartbeat, everyone else will find out in a few weeks.

I had an ultrasound today and my due date is June 14 as well! We saw the heartbeat too! Awesome!!!

We initially said 12 weeks, then 10 weeks, then last night my husband said 8 weeks. Now we are waiting until we get to hear the heartbeat and then we are telling everyone...maybe it's so exciting. Congratulations!!

Congrats! We also had our first ultrasound today and heard the heart beat . Couldn't get a clear image so not sure if I'm 7 or 8 wks along. We're going back next week for some tests and another ultrasound . Due June 11th if I'm 7 wks and June 5th If I'm 8 wks. Already told close friends and family

Congrats! Isn't it a wonderful feeling? My ultrasound is tomorrow (wish me luck) but I still remember how it felt hearing DS heartbeat for the first time.

I'm 8.5 weeks and I've told everyone... I did so after our first ultrasound. God forbid if something does happen, I'll need lots of support.

How exciting! I saw a heartbeat too at 6 weeks and started to tell some people(close friends and fam). Probably going to wait to tell co-workers etc until my next ultrasound on nov 11th.

I have my first appointment next Wednesday- I can't wait! We will tell my parents this weekend and then start telling close friends and family after the doctor visit. I agree that if something does happen- I think I'd like the support. We won't make any public announcements until 12ish weeks (or when it feels right) though partly because I kind of like having this to myself right now- it's a fun secret!
