I don't even know when this milestone is supposed to happen -- I don't think until much later. DS2 rolled early, but with DS1, he rolled belly to back for the first time at 14 weeks, he did it 4 times, and then never again for 2 months. Try not to worry and comparing will just stress you out.
Some babies can flip themselves from front to back as early as three
months, but most need the strong neck and arm muscles they'll have at
about five or six months to flip the other way - from back to front.
LO flipped from front to back for the first time at 9 weeks. I was shocked! I expect it was a fluke, because she hasn't done it again, although she has been close.

jmo866 - Thanks for the link and thanks for the responses everyone! Like I said, I'm a FTM so I am clueless when it comes to milestones.
No problem. I know with my first son I used to stress about lots of things like that, but it's so much easier now to reassure myself that everything will happen in time, after being through it. I remember stressing because my friend's DD (same age) was smiling away at 6 weeks and my guy was sober faced until about 10-12 weeks (can't remember) but now he is the chattiest, smiley kid, so it all works itself out.
My LO just started front to back last week. He just turned 13 weeks.

DS flips from front to back like it's his job. He just recently (in the last two days) started agreeing to tummy time and keeps rolling himself over onto his back.
But really, I always think of ages for milestones as being a rough guideline. No baby is the same and they progress at whatever rate they want to. It doesn't mean your baby is behind in their development. It probably just means your baby doesn't have a desire to do it yet.
