I hate using "AW" when I want to brag on my girls. I know it's just a widely used abbreviation on forums, but must we call ourselves attention whores when we're proud of something??
Instead of attention whore I pretend it means attention wanted and I'm okay with that.
I never bothered to figure out what it meant so I always read it as awwwww. I'm so lame.
I say that in my head too, when I read it.
I always read it as awwwww as well - like look at how cute my baby is or how smart I am. I knew what it meant but always ready it as awwww I think it is nicer that way.

I bought a 100ct box of Cadbury mini chocolate bars for Halloween. It's been sitting on my fridge for a week..I opened it this morning and ate 5 of them. I told my older kids I'd bite their fingers if they opened it before Halloween so now I'm gonna get the evil eye from them and I really don't give a CRAPP. Give me my chocolate and no one gets hurt. Fuck you pms
Single moms on welfare should be given more options to better educate themselves so they can provide for their families and get off the system sooner. Where I live, subsidized childcare is only available if you go to work..which is BS, you can't live off minimum wage and if you make over 200$ for a family of 4 they deduct dollar for dollar. Education is needed to get better jobs and to provide for a better future.
I will also let my parents or my in laws do what they think is best if Audrey stays with them for any length of time. as long as they aren't abusing her.
if they want to feed her a cookie, by all means. that's their mess to deal with if she goes sugar crazy on them.
Now that LO is older, I am totally on board with this. I believe it's disrespectful to micromanage a babysitter's decisions, as long as they are within reason -- especially if it's family. I let MIL do whatever she wants with LO for a few reasons -- I want her to feel involved, respected, and loved; and I'm pretty sure she's got a few more nuggets of wisdom under her belt than I do. Also, having lost my mom before LO was born, I realize the importance of making family feel involved in LO's life.
education needs to be more available for working adults in general! night classes have been cut so much lately at community college.
I agree. I know a few people who have worked the same job for 10+ years and they're either getting fired or being demoted. That's all they know, they've been the money maker all these years. I cannot imagine the stress that must put on them thinking 'what are we going to do now?'. Education is key.
i never say "pigs in a blanket" that shit is a mini corndog.
I disagree - a corn dog has a corn bread shell (and preferably a stick and is deep fried -mmmmm. A pig in the blanket is wrapped in a flour blanket (it can be baked). If you told me you were giving me a mini corndog and handed me a pig in the blanket a would be very disappointed.

Sushi is gross and I think it's dumb that it's always a weird name like "screaming orgasm" and " your ex girlfriend". I like eating dinner early like 4:30-5:00.

what sushi are you eating? I have never seen that!
I am sick as a dog and tired of it. I've had no voice for 3 days now. ugh. enough!
I don't get why people take babies trick or treating (actually knocking on doors and/or collecting candy). Now if you have older kids I get why you would bring the baby with you, but I still think it is weird to collect candy on behalf of the baby.
When I am handing out candy, I compliment the baby's costume and don't give them candy.
Yea, DH asked if we were going to take LO out trick or treating this year, and I just looked at him funny and replied, ".....no?"
Halloween is some of Husband's fondest memories and he is super excited to carry on his traditions. That's why he is taking her. I am in it for the candy.

I might get the side eye for this one but I'm just now starting to put my daughter in PJ'S at night. Before I would just change her clothes in the morning unless of course they got messy and then I changed her right away. I never saw the need since her clothes never got that dirty. It just seemed like a waste of laundry to me and not worth the effort since she hatted getting changed. The only time I did put her in PJ's was on cold nights but I live in the desert and we don't get too many of those.

Totes the side eye from me. Baby jammies are adorable. You missed out.

Haha I don't feel I missed out I just did it backwards and had her wear them during the day lol.

For a long time, the only reason we really put LO in jammies was because it was apart of his nighttime routine, and I wanted to signal to him that it was time to go to sleep.
rel="dotmbc">We are going trick or treating with the rest of the kids in the neighborhood. They are all different ages and A will be really excited to hang out with them.
Us too I don't see the issue taking a little one out for Halloween. It's a memory I don't want to pass up on, I won't be taking her up to the doors begging for candy but I do hope she enjoys the night..besides I have 2 older kids' candy bags I'm going to rob lol

We might take Elijah for a walk around the neighborhood, but I can't see the point of buying a costume, and I don't see the point of knocking on doors.
Re: UO
My UO...um...uh...I'll get back to you.

I would still eat it, though.
