Graco has up'd their click-connect to 40lbs to take you through to 2yrs. As many of the MoMs here will tell you, having infant carriers makes a world of difference the first year, and not having to replace your infant seat for an extra year may be hugely helpful for some of you. Just wanted to share, as the AAP now recommends keeping your child RF'ing until a minimum of 2yrs old, and most MoMs prefer to start out in infant seats https://www.gracosafety.com/

Though almost no child outgrows it by weight first. It's a shame the didn't extend the height limit. My littles outgrew theirs well before 30lbs

The height limit on the 40 is 35" (the Snugride 35s, both classic and CC, were 32", and the Snugride 30 were 30" and the classic connect was 29")

ok, quick question, then (sorry to divert the OP)

I was given an extra base for my girls' snugride 30's (manufactured 2011) that was never used.

I was planning on keeping the spare base for this little dude and getting a new SR30 for him and Craigslist-ing the girls' pink SR30 seats+DSNG+carrier covers as a "Twin Girls Set" to get rid of more crap at once.

Do you think the 2011 base would still work with the newer 30's, i.e. is the click-in assembly still the same, given the newer weight and height design? If not, I need to CL the extra base, as well.
