I am 38 my DH is 40. We have been together for 20 years and married for 15 tomorrow. We have 4 fur babies 2 cats and 2 dogs. So I never thought I would have gotten this far. I was diagnosed with PCOS at age 15 and told I was probably not going to be able to have children and I accepted that. It is in the family I have an aunt, great aunt, and great great aunt that were childless. I figured I was the one in this generation. In august I was just not feeling right... the breast pain was incredible. I feared cancer but thought I would investigate and rule out pregnancy. I peed on that little stick and when I saw that plus sign I nearly fainted and really wanted to throw up. At 37 almost 38 it was so surreal. I told my husband and he was excited. It was 9 years of unprotected sex.
To shorten my tale I lost the pregnancy at 11w5d. I was devestated and didn't realised how much I wanted this.
I am supposed to be waiting for my first AF but it took 9 years the first time. And my mc was complete. The Dr said it was for dating purposes so I am not concerned, this was the first Dr out of 4 to tell me that I was fertile and a healthy pregnancy is possible. So I will be going back to her.
Many women on these boards ( especially the TTTC board) have PCOS and many have gone on to have very sucesfull pregnancies. Seeing a good RE who frequently deals with PCOS is the way to go! They know how to treat it and help you achieve a pregnancy.
Good luck!

I say congrats on getting pregnant, even though you lost it thta is a great step in pcos, means tha you can.
I was diagnosed last year with pcos, since the RE didn't make a big deal out of it I kinda ignored it, now I iunderstand so much more.
Funny I was told I wouldn't be able to have kids because I have a retrotilted uterus when I was a teenager, DR since have told me that is not true.
So I wish you luck!!
