Daniel came home Tuesday evening from the NICU where he had been for the last 3 weeks! He lost almost a pound in the NICU but is now 3 ounces over his birth weight. He lost his title of biggest NICU baby a few days into his stay by a 10 pounder but the nurses still referred to him as "Big Guy" and "Moose".
He was nursing well, or so I thought, but they believe he wasn't transferring. Thus the weight loss. I was told to stop and just pump. I'm not giving up on the breastfeeding though- we have an appointment with a lactation consultant next week. I will do whatever it takes to give him breast milk, but feeding at the breast is just soooo much easier than pumping.
Looking forward to catching up on here and seeing everyone's baby pictures in the coming weeks while I snuggle my "Moose" at home.
