Rock n play.....those using it, do you feel like lo slides in it? I don't strap him in yet but by the am he looks so uncomfy. I think we are attempting the crib this weekend.
I am still using the newborn insert so LO is snug. I'd imagine if I took it out at this point she would slide around. At night she is in the RnP but to get her used to the crib I have her nap there in the day.

Yes, She ends up all balled up by the time she wakes up. I strap her in sometimes but she doesn't like that much so I think it is also time to get her more used the crib (she has taken a few naps in it but doesn't sleep well while in it)
DS seems to slide down and I worry about how he looks sometimes, especially when swaddled. It eventually bunches up around his face. I've tried regular blankets, miracle blanket and a halo swaddle and they all bunch up when he slides down. I have considered buying a bassinet or looking into the arms reach co sleeper.
I think she looks so scrunched up which makes me worry about her ability to breath. I do let her nap in it but I check on her constantly.I was going to let her sleep in it overnight since eveyone acts like its a mirical sleep machine.I decided to research it before I let her sleep in it because she just didn't look right to me in it. Sure enough there were numerous pedi articals on all the reasons you shouldn't let LO sleep in it.
DS has never slid around and I don't buckle him in. I do swaddle him arms out then I use a big blanket around his legs so that probably helps keep him up.
This is the only thing LO sleeps in. I take a thicker blanket and fold it up about 3-4 times and put it down at the bottom that way she never slides down in it. If I didn't do that she slides and gets that "slumping" effect.
Huh.....my son slept in it overnight for three months. Never had torticollis and never developed sleep disorders. In fact he sleeps from 730 - 8 every night. I tried my LO in the cosleeper first to see if that would work. Didn't.....she has mild reflux and sleeps much better elevated. She doesn't slide down in it and for right now this seems to be the only place she gets extended sleep. I think you have to make the best decision for you and do what you are comfortable with. Also.....I don't believe everything I read on the Internet. So I will follow what we did with my son which is first few weeks in RnP and once she is getting a little more consistent sleep move her to the cosleeper and then end with her in her crib probably around 6 months when she is sleeping longer periods at night.
We don't have an issue with sliding around. Not even sure if I got a nb insert?? He stays put his head is by the ears and butt seems to fit fine at the bottom.

ITA. That link that was posted was just basically someone's blog post. Anyone can write something and call themselves qualified. Also, quoting a review on amazon as a source? Please. Literally anyone can put whatever they want in a review. And even if that story about having to get a helmet was true, that woman had no proof it was the RnP that caused it. It was what she was pretty sure caused it. She didn't really know. Anyway, I agree with the above post that you should maybe do more research and decided what you feel most safe with putting you infant in overnight.
My first who had reflux slept in the rnp for five months with absolutely no issues or problems. DD2 sleeps in it now at night only and sleeps great. I love this thing and will continue to use it.
I spoke to my pediatrician too and she doesn't like them. I have had issues w LO sliding down and put his breathing in a weird place so just because it worked for some, it doesn't for all
DS sleeps swaddled, so I don't buckle him. He was sliding down in the RnP, so I put a folded up receiving blanket under his bum like a little seat. it keeps him in place.

Same. This is the first I have even heard of babies sliding down while in it. And my DS is swaddled sometimes but not always. He has never slid down
Here is a good one on all the problems with the R&P.
