Separation Anxiety only at night? Or what's going on here?

Help... (I will preface this by saying I know some of you have it much worse at night, so sorry.)

DS has been STTN for over 4 months, with a short break during his "4 month wakeful period" or whatever you'd like to call it. However, the last 4 nights, he has been up twice each night like an alarm clock, and he's fussing about going to bed which he also never did before. He would be happy if he could just sleep attached to my nipple all night long... ugh. He did have a fever and sore throat for a couple days, but that seems to be gone now. Is this just a phase that I have to wait out, or should I be trying something to get him out of this behavior and back to what's normal for him? It's like he doesn't want us to put him down and leave him, but during the day he is perfectly happy on his own.

    I could of wrote this myself. I have the same issues happening since Friday or Saturday night. I used to put him in his crib and he would go to sleep on his own. Now I have to lay with him till he falls asleep, then move him to his crib. He totally freaks out if I leave him. He's still upset when I'm with him, he whines, and puts his arms out for me to hold/hug him even though he's on my lap. During the day he's fine. I'm curious to see what others have to say.

    Omg...my baby does that too! It has been driving me nuts. He wants to have me near just at night...

    I literally was just about to write this, lol. The only difference is he will also not take naps. I hope this is a phase and since a few of us are going through it...it seems like it is.
