What did you feed little one as a first food? How did you prepare it? Did you read about it in a book or website? I think I am going to switch to this from purees since he is completely refusing to be spoon fed.
TIA

YAY! TEAM BLUE! Alex was born 4/15/13 5:09pm 6lb 10oz 20in!
I read the BLW book, and also browsed their website (there is plenty of info on the website, but I am an over-preparer and felt the need to also read a book )
DD's first food was avocado, just sliced up into french fry shaped pieces. We did banana sliced the same way shortly after.
I would highly recommend BLW, it has been great for us!
I didn't read anything to be honest. I knew she was interested when she started staring me down when I would eat my dinner. I just let her taste bits of it. And when we went out to eat it was such a hassle trying to get her puree and warm them up (she's my little spoiled love - she likes all her food warm). I usually just steam and/or mash veggies and fruit.
We gave avocado slices and sweet potato slices. The sweet potato we steamed until it was quite soft and cut it in a thick French fry size. The avocado we peeled and cut in similar shape (it gets slippery quickly though)
