And I am back... after years. IUI #1 next week.

Hello all-

Years ago, I was actively on these boards, my DH and I really wanted a baby but we were young and naive and had no idea why we were having such a hard time TTC.  While my husband had amazing insurance, it did not cover fertility.  During our second year of TTC my husband got laid off and it was devastating for both of us.  While we didn't stop TTC we certainly didn't have our heart in it anymore.  

Because he was laid off we were forced to venture to my insurance where we found out our policy had recently changed and now covered fertility.  Here we are after 6 years of marriage and we'll call it 4 plus years of TTC and I started clomid (50 mg) for the first time on Sunday and we will be having IUI #1 next week.  

I have PCOS and have been on metformin for years, I recently went on thryroid meds, DH has good sperm count but low mobility so we are very hopeful the IUI will work.  Fingers crossed.

I just thought maybe it was time for me to rejoin this awesome community.  I am not telling a lot of people about our IUI so it is nice to share.

Clomid has been fine for me, no irritability or hot flashes, I am just exhausted and have some spotting.  Is that normal?  Thank you for listening.

Surprise BFP on 6.10.14 ... Miscarried 7.7.14 


Walked away from Fertility Treatments and began to look into our Foster/Adopt License in April 2014.

    Me 33, DH 37 -- TTC since Jan'12 -- Low AMH (0.78) & endo, SA w/ low motility
    IUI's 1-3 = BFN, IVF converted to IUI 4/13 = BFN
    IVF 1.2: 8R 6M 4F -- 2 blastocysts frozen, FET 8/15 = BFP!!
    Beta #s = 445;1,098; 9,545  -- EDD 5/2 -- Team Pink!
    Camila Josephine arrived 4/30 :)

    Welcome back but sorry you find yourself here again.  Sounds like you have a good plan--FX it works this cycle!
    Actively TTC since 01/11
    Me: 06/12 Dx w/ IR PCOS (rx 2000 metformin) DH: SA all clear; looking good
    06/12-10/12- Clomid/Femara + trigger + TI + P4 = 3 BFNs, hysteroscopy, polypectomy, D&C
    11/12 - 7.5 mg Femara + trigger + IUI + P4 = BFN
    12/12 - Surprise BFP ectopic (MTX 01/13)
    04/13 - Off the Bench! 7.5 mg Femara + trigger + IUI #2 + estradiol + P4 = BFN
    05/13 Clear HSG-5 mg Femara + Menopur + trigger + IUI #3 + P4 = BFP ectopic (MTX 07/03 & 07/11)
    07/23 emergency lap to remove ectopic mass and left tube
    10/13 5mg Femara + Menopur + trigger + TI(follie on left/no IUI)=BFN
    11/13 Same as above but BFP!
    Beta #1 12dpo-51     Beta #2 15dpo-178
    12/5- There's something in my ute!!

    09/12 lap/hysteroscopy =removal of mass on bladder, possible blocked tubes
    12/12 hysteroscopy=tubes clear. uterine septum removed
    01/13 fermara step up + iui=cancelled due to no response
    02/13 clomid step up + iui=cancelled due to no response
    07/13 gonal-f + trigger + b2b iui = bfn
    08/13 bravelle(slow response) switched to menopur + trigger + b2b iui = bfn
    10/13 - IVF#1 w/ ICIS. ER= 10/29/13 (21R 10F 6 blasts made it to freeze)
    11/25/13 - FET #1, transfer 2=bfn
    03/03/14 - FET #2, transfer 2 frosties=BFP! beta#1=22, beta#2=43, beta#3=120. Ectopic Pregnancy 6w5d
    07/31/14 - FET #3, transfer our last two.
