DD does not clap but if I put my hand in front of her and sing patty cake she gives me high fives that's my way of playing patty cake with her. Also since she was around four months old we play this game called "bumpy" and I bump my forehead with her well now at 6 and a half months I say bumpie! And she brings her forehead in and bumps mine! I love it! And SO was practicing saying bye bye with her hand. She does it but at all random times lol i think she is learning how to move her wrist around and she likes it.
Well apparently my DD can't roll over but she can clap. Lol. My doctor was surprised that she could clap. I figured other babies were clapping too- guess not.
I said no, but she is close-ish. She will clap my hands. We clap after every song we sing. She puts her open hands on the outside of mine and pushes them together. I hold hers after and once and awhile she'll open her hands when I bring them together.
If somebody thinks they're a hedgehog, presumably you just give 'em a mirror and a few pictures of hedgehogs and tell them to sort it out for themselves.-Douglas Adams
My dd has been clapping for about a month now. She will be 7 months on Saturday. The first time I ever saw her do it I thought it was a fluke. I sing The Wheels on the Bus and If You're Happy and You Know It to her and I will clap along. One morning when I was singing to her I noticed that she was bringing her hands together like she was clapping. The next day one of her daycare teachers had mentioned the same thing to me because they sing and clap there. Now she claps for everything. Seeing Mickey Mouse or Elmo on the TV makes her real happy!
Re: Can your LO clap?
