What is working your last nerve these days?
Mine is others lack of appreciation.
IE:
1. When you go out of your way to do something for someone and they can't even be bothered to say thank you.
2. Or you really take the extra effort to do something special and they act like it's their entitled right, not a gift that you gave.
But, on the flip side, it really is teaching me about my own motives in giving and how there are different "levels" & limits in every relationship that you have to respect so you don't drive yourself crazy.
Re: Work My Last Nerve Wednesday (WMLNW?) :)
Kind of everything and everyone is WMLN today.
1) People who don't hold doors. Seriously, so rude. DH and I talk about this all the time because we both hold doors for EVERYBODY
2) People who don't "walk the way you drive in the US," meaning -- walk on the right, dipshit. When you're in a mall, grocery store, crowded hallway, etc... walk on the right.
And to add to yours JSS- folks who think they can run you over in the grocery store/Target etc b/c they are not looking at you. If I don't look at you, you don't exist, thus I can walk through you b/c I am the only and the MOST important person on this planet.
Yeah -- this is funny since I work there, but I go into what I call "Target flight instinct," which is to say, anytime I'm in a store or a public place that gets really crowded, I go NUTS. I absolutely cannot stand the rushing, crowding, people stopping dead in their tracks, getting in my way, etc. My friends and DH laugh so hard because I seriously SNAP in an instant and go from nice normal woman to crazy lunatic shopper that must get out of the store.
This is why I shop the second the store opens... or order groceries online. :-) A saturday or sunday in a big box store is my definition of hell.
The drivers in the parking lot at my daughters' school are working on my last nerve!
On Monday some little old lady was simultaneously trying to go the wrong way around the loop AND blocking the spot I was trying to park in. Just because you are in the first spot, doesn't exempt you from having to go the right direction. [-X
Today, I pulled into a spot a little too close to the car on the driver's side, so I was trying to back up and straighten the car. This lady pulls into the line behind me, (The line to get back on the street circles the parking spots.) and freaked out and started honking her horn when I tried to back-up.... Yes, Crazy Lady, I see your car there. Is it okay if I use the car's width between us to straighten out so I can open my door and go pick up my kids??? [-(
Seriously, people....learn to drive!
