    We used ours more as a portable high chair, but never on an elevated surface.  DD hated it otherwise.  Not a necessity IMO.

    my ds was too chubby for it. he always seemed so uncomfortable. not worth it for us.

    Both of mine loved it, so to me it was worth it.  You can find them super inexpensive at consignment stores also, so that might make it more worth it.

    It wasn't worth it for us. DS was a larger baby so after a short while his thighs were to fat for it. I don't see it as a necessity.

    DS liked to sit in it for short periods of time, starting at about 5 months old.  It was also a useful seat for picnic lunches (on the ground, of course) until he outgrew it at about 10 months.  Definitely not a necessity and not something you need to buy when you're getting ready for a newborn.  We borrowed the Bumbo with DS, but we'll probably buy one when this new baby gets old enough to use it.

    I've used it with both my boys quite a bit and they both like it. They both were long and skinny when they used it and it seemed to prop them up fine. I could see where it would be uncomfy for a bigger baby. I did see this in Walmart and it seems like it would work better for bigger babies.

    I know some kids love them, DD didn't so much for the most part. It was most useful for us while I was getting ready in the am - Id put her on the floor in the bumbo and give her some things to  play with while I did my hair and make up. Im glad we had it, and kept it for LO2.

    I never got one since I couldn't justify paying $50 for a plastic seat that would only last a couple of months. Plus my son's day care had one so he could use it there.

    I have a 10month old and I don't even know what a bumbo is, so definitely not a must have.

    LO didn't use it much, so wasn't worth it. We sold ours for half the price.

    i think it is a total waste of money... folds your kid in half to make them sit.. they will sit when they are supposed to
