How long till you could wear rings again?

I didnt get swollen hands until about 36 weeks and I had to stop wearing my wedding ring. Im 2 weeks pp now and there is no way my ring is fitting past my knuckle.
How long till you were able to wear your rings again? Did anyone eventually get your ring resized? Tia!

I was able to start wearing mine again around 4 weeks pp, but they are still a little snug at 7 weeks. I may go talk to the jeweler about getting them sized up just a bit so they are more comfortable.

About 6 weeks for me and even then they are tighter than they used to me. I had to take them off during the hot summer months so it has been probably 5 months since I could wear it.

The swelling will go down, trust me ! I wore my rings till delivery but due to all those IV's they give you I was so swollen post partum. It took me 4 weeks to wear my rings again . Am now 6 weeks pp...

My rings stopped fitting in the second trimester, but I was able to put them back on about two weeks postpartum. It seems to be one of those things that varies wildly from person to person.

I am almost 3 weeks pp and still can't wear mine. I have tried to put them on 2x now and they get stuck at my knuckle. I took mine off at 8 months-ish. I really hope they fit soon and hope I don't have to get them resized!

I had to take mine off around the 2nd trimester, I was so swollen. It took me 6 weeks pp before I could get one ring on. I am 8 weeks pp and I still can only wear one ring. I can get them both on, but then my finger starts to really hurt

Thanks everyone! Nice to get an idea of a timeframe at least, even if varied. I'll just wait and see and expect that it may be a possibility that I'll have to get it resized. But I'll def give it some time.

I was super swollen the to preeclampsia and had to retire my rings around 20 or so weeks. I was able to get into my rings the day I came home from the hospital! It's amazing how much fluid that catheter got out of me!!

I was able to wear mine all along. I had a couple mornings where my fingers were a little swollen, but it would always subside after a couple hours.

Almost 7 wks. pp and still cannot fit them over my knuckle

Was going to have them resized, but after reading it could take up to 6 mths. I will now be waiting

I had to stop wearing mine around 30-34 weeks. I was finally able to get it back on around 2 weeks pp but snug. It was finally fitting like normal around 4 weeks pp.

The swelling will continue to go down. I think it was around 6weeks PP that I could comfortably wear them again.

I went to the jeweler's at two months to get mine resized and it turns out I only needed half a size up and it would have cost a fortune. She showed me a trick of using glass cleaner to help slide the ring over the knuckle and it really worked so maybe try that if you feel like you are close?

If I cant get mine on soon I will try this! Thanks! It is close and seems to be continuing to improve. I was wondering how much resizing would cost. If it is expensive it will be awhile before I get it done, that's for sure.

I'm 7 weeks PP and still not happening. I can get my wedding band and engagement ring on separately, but not together and it's TIGHT. I'm definitely going to need to have them stretched, just a half size or so.

I was actually quite the opposite. I was waiting to take the rings off so i could clean them! I wore both my engagement ring and my wedding ring all the way through my pregnancy and through delivery. I was so swollen PP that my fingers were so painful. It took almost 1.5 wks before i was able to take it off. Phew! Finally was able to clean the yucky sauce off and get the rings to sparkle again! Im now 3 months PP and back in my pre-peg jeans since LO was 2 months old...yay!
