Super thin (A&A type thin, but not that brand) white burp cloths. Luckily we have about 10 of them and they are easily bleachable! She rubs them on her face like Linus.
A pop-up screaming monster toy. Or a squeaky Panther rat. Also a small stuffed Frankenstein's monster. Before this month, he never really carted anything around or wanted to snuggle with things. Also I never really put Halloween away, so these have almost always been available to him.
She has an actually lovey (a hippo) but it has to be that SPECIFIC lovey. I looked it up to buy an extra one and they are like $25-$30 (it was a shower gift)!!
So instead I bought a two pack of different ones for $13.00 aaand nope she doesn't like them as much as her hippo ::sigh::
We had this same kind of thing happen, my mom got her a little dolly and my kid has attached herself to it when she's really tired or grumpy. It was on sale from Carter's and now there are only two online, on ebay, one is used, and the cheap used one is $40. I am not paying that for a used doll, and I don't want my kid sleeping with a used doll anyways.
Even a minor event in
the life of a child is an event of that child's world and thus a world
event.
Ona's isn't that weird but it is weird what she does with it. Hers is a brown stuffed pig. Weird thing is that when she snuggles with it she sticks the tail in her mouth and chews on it. So my kid eats pig butt.
E doesn't have a specific lovey. She sleeps with a taggie, but we rotate through 4 different ones so she doesn't fixate. And if we're out without a taggie, any fleece-like fabric will do. In the car she's been snuggling with a shirt she outgrew...
We have Seamus, if you're my fb friend you know him well. Little dude is a mess these days but she refers to him as "my baby." He was a gift and I wasn't excited about spending another $20 for another to add into the rotation. Luckily my next door neighbor saw him and had one for her son that he never was interested in and donated him to our cause
I never had anything as a kid and I can promise I'm pretty normal and well adjusted
Dagny just has a normal lovie. It's an owl one from Target that I got at a baby shower. She is obsessed and they no longer sell this one at Target but I found a NWT one on EBay so she has one at all times and I do t have to rush laundry.
Same here! I think it's interesting that nothing is that interesting to him. I wish he had something and I tried with this awesome polka dot elephant he got but he just doesn't care.
