February 2014 Moms

Anyone else's boobs now touching their stomach when you sit down????

as I sit here and type this, my boobs have found a nice resting spot on my belly bump.  I don't even need a bra now to keep them up, just lay them on the shelf that was once my flat abs! lol

I had Dr app today and seeing the scale rise more significantly this time was a nice fright during this Halloween season.....

All for a good cause! But I am dreaming about my triumphant comeback in 2014! lol

  • I'm telling myself it'll help prevent sagging later.

I know that isn't actually going to help.

  • I am now in a DD and my Fiancé loves the fact that when I am sitting down he can stick his hand between my boobs and belly and make it disappear. My poor boobs will never be the same after this pregnancy, If only he knew that. ;))
  • Ugh yes... the sad part is I don't even have big boobs, I am only a 36B.

  • yes!! I used to have tiny boobs and now my full C cup makes me feel like a porn star.. in a good way. when I'm lounging, they definitely touch. I think it's cool haha

  • Yes, and when I don't wear a bra, my boobs stick to my belly, even when I'm standing. Big boob problems.

Haha yes this is me too! It actually grosses me out, it's such a weird feeling. I liked my little B's, I wish they would come back.
  • lol totally! I was in the office the other day and it was so warm I could feel the heat starting to rise under my boobs and before you know it there was a sweat mark! EWWWW!  I tried to strategically cross my arms over my belly and under my boobs to hide it - oh what we go through!

  • Lol, YUP- didn't even realize it until you said it and I happen to be lounging in yoga pants and no bra at the moment. I don't even have particularly large boobs!

  • I am with you, boobs touching my tummy has started to really bother me. I wear a sports bra around the house now.  Also got a nice freight on the scale today.  Oh well, to be expected.  Post pregnancy work-out routines have become a bit of a fantasy for me.

Well, my 40G boobs have touched my size 20 stomach for as long as I remember. When I sit down, when I stand up, when I lay down, when I do a cartwheel.. Oh, and if I stand on my head, I will suffocate.

And since gaining 15 pounds at 24 weeks pregnant, I just can't wait to have my triumphant comeback! Size 20, see you in 2014 as well!

    I know, I know, I must stop bragging :)

As another plus-size (and big-chested) woman, I've also had this issue as long as I can remember!

  • OMG!!  I was thinking about this the other day that now my boobs have officially found a resting place on my belly when I sit down...LOL!!  I have never had huge boobs as I am a full 32B but now they are a full 34C as even my chest has seen to have gotten wider with the new cup size...LOL!!  I love the new boobs but hate how they rest on my belly...so weird!!

  • All my life. All. My. Life.

I don't want to find out what size I actually am now. My last new bra was purchased at 9 weeks pregnant, I had already gone up a cup size.
What comes after a 36 DDD??

  • Not really, which is weird because I have super big boobs right now and I am gaining weight at the speed of sound...something like almost 30 lbs in 25 weeks, I feel like a giant sloppy fat monster.

But, my bump is kind of pathetic (even sadder considering the weight I've gained) and I'm carrying on the low side, so that could be it.  My belly does stick to my thighs, though, when I wear a dress sans tights or something.  It's kind of disconcerting.

I'm starting to wonder if I'm just going to hate my body for the rest of my life (hated it before being pregnant, to be honest, and this isn't helping).  Ugh. Sorry, I'm whining.  Rough day and drs appt where I had to face the scale, which always makes me feel terrible.

  • : ( I hear you @dawizzle - there is no doubt that pregnancy forces you to face your body and any issues you have with it head on.  There is no where to hide. I saw a picture once that showed 6 women side by side all at the same week of pregnancy (around 7 months) - it was amazing how different each one carried - low, high, horizontal!  There is no one right way!

We all feel big and sloppy at times and other times as proud maternal goddesses : )   I hope the inner goddess comes out later today for you!  Remember - you are carrying a beautiful life - and that makes you beautiful too  ;)

(sorry to sound so sappy, I clearly am having a "feeling like a maternal goddess" day lol)

I just had to school a coworker on this today.  He told me his aunt who is a few weeks behind me looks a lot different than me, and there must be something wrong.  I did well to not snap at him, but explain that everyone carries differently and my baby is healthy and beautiful.  He got the point and shut his trap.  Hang in there, we're all different and wonderful!

My boobs don't touch my belly, they actually haven't grown since about 8 weeks... sometimes I look at them and wonder when they'll grow again.  I only gained a cup size.  I know my day will come, but I just wish I had invested in more/better bras back when I got 2 cheapies at 8 weeks thinking I'd be back in another month to buy more. :-/

Ahh, thanks--I do feel better some days more than others, but scale days are never good.

I felt great earlier this week and was thinking maybe I didn't gain as much this month, but then I did gain--the same as the last two months.

I've always been overweight and was on Weight Watchers for years before getting pregnant (lost some, still had more to lose when I got pregnant) so it's sooo hard not to assign value to what I see on the scale every month.  Especially when I feel like I am doing everything more or less right.  I eat my veggies, I am (reasonably) active, etc.

It's totally superficial, I know, and in general I know I'm pretty healthy and so is the baby and overall my pregnancy has had blessedly few problems, but that doesn't mean I don't feel a teensy bit sorry for myself when I see people way skinnier and not pregnant eat more and exercise less than me.  And the world is looking at me thinking that I'm the one hitting the drive-thru.

And I definitely know that everyone carries differently, but I totally have bump jealousy, especially given my tenuous relationship with my body.  My bump is not nice and round and sticky-outy, which just makes me feel even dumpier.

Ay yi yi...I think I'm just feeling extra hormonal today!

  • @dawizzle  ((((hugs))))  I don't do the scale lol  (unless at the dr of course, and then I try not to look!)
