1. My personal favorite that I have been was when I was Beetlejuice. I love him.

2. I have multiple. I guess one for me is I never knew how much stress having a child could put on a relationship. Another is, I used to support abortions at whatever the time. I only support them now up to the time when you can tell the sex. When I say support back then.. I was really not concerned with it.. even when one of my cousins has had so many abortions, even late term ones, I really didn't care. Now I do I guess.

1. I was a witch on Halloween and I thought it was so fun because I had the creepy nails and everything.

2. Nursing in public would be mine too. Or don't judge someone with kids. For example, ds was colicky for the first few months and would cry for hours sometimes. People didn't understand why I couldn't just stick my boob in his mouth to get him to stop. Needless to say I had to explain to a lot of friends and family what was going on and opted to stay at home more. Oh, last one...women should understand other women. Like don't say stupid things when as a women you should know and understand what I'm going through. Ok, ok I'm done

How hard it is to take care of a baby/child. You always hear "oh babies! The best ever!" Don't get me wrong, I knew it wouldn't be easy but holy crap, parenting is hard! However, I wouldn't change it for the WORLD!

Night stand, ceiling fan, lamp shade.

I've been told my smile is one of my best attributes. I smile constantly--I think a smile can make someone's day.

1. Don't have a fav childhood costume, but as an adult I was Monica Lewinski in a Milk Ad. It was pretty ingenious if I do say so myself. I got lots of attention from the Leo Burnett ad guys at the party I went to that year- lol!

2. I am more relaxed about how clean my house is when people come over. My attitude is- I'm busy right now, deal with it!

Jordynleighx3 was my middle school aim screenname. Jordan is how my name is really spelt but spelling it with a y was a way for people to not find me when searching for me on Facebook without me having to make my profile private, so I just kept it. Leigh is my middle name. And the cutesy x3 is supposed to be a sideways heart. How youneek was I?!

1. What's your favorite childhood Halloween costume? Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. My mom made the dress and my dad spray painted my shoes a glittery red.

2. Name one thing/idea/value that your opinion has changed on since having children... Definitely giving parents a side eye when their kid is yelling and screaming in public. Sometimes it just can't be helped!

5. Favorite holiday? Thanksgiving! The entire family on my dad's side gets together at my grandparents' house for the weekend. Almost everyone makes it every year...around 30-35 people and it's a blast! We've done it since I was a little kid and it has been incredible to bring Alba the past 2 years; I can't wait for Noah to join us this year!

1. Favorite costume: My aunt and my Mom made me a Rainbow Brite costume, complete with an orange yarn wig. I cried, no - I bawled when I out grew that costume and my little sister got to wear it.

1 rainbow brite!! My mom made it and it was awesome.
2 how much work a marriage is. DH and I have always had it really easy but with no sleep or time (we changed our schedules to keep DD out of daycare so we see each other maybe one hour a day) its hard work. Thankfully we are both upping our efforts. Now if we can just get a child free date night...

1. I can't remember a single Halloween costume. I think by the time I came along my mom just didn't care anymore.

3. The awesome old windows I snagged to decorate my new office, work notes, my camera that holds the terrible pumpkin patch pictures we took yesterday :-(

I need to lighten up. I want to be a perfect parent sometimes and I guess it's impossible. His schedule will get messed up sometimes or he will be unconsolable one day and I will have to walk away for a minute and it's not going to effect him long term.

Rag doll... my mom recycled it for years so i was a rag doll over and over again. So cute though.

I always use to "judge" one of my close friends because she would never leave her daughter with a baby sitter (her mom) when we all wanted to hang out. Now I totally understand her since i only want to spend time with my little baby.

Ninja/mummy/ghost. We went around 3 times. There was no parental supervision. It was our last year for trck or treat (11yrs old) so we made it count.

I stopped side eyeing people who were out with crying children. Pre-kids, I thought crying kids should be spirited away immediately and the outting tried again when they were more well rested or whatever or with a sitter. Um, pre-child me was both stupid and an ass.

1.) A pack of juicy fruit gum or a butterfly. My Uncle always made his kids costumes from cardboard and they always got passed on. They were always elaborate and so well done, hand painted etc. The pack of juickfruit was self explanatory but lieterally went all the way over the head with a piece that stuck out. HAHAHA! Totally awkward to move around in FYI. THe butterfly had little strings you put your fingers through so you could move the wings back and forth - the year I wore it, it POURED and I was so upset because all the paint ran

2.) What hasn't my opinion changed on?? For starters, disciplining children when they are rude or hurtful to other kids. I will NOT stand for that and if my DD ever acts like that she will be in a boat load of trouble for it.

I always thought I would love being pregnant. I totally did not. I always thought breast feeding would be weird. It wasn't weird even the first time.

1. What's your favorite childhood Halloween costume? Probably the I Dream of Jeannie costume my grandma made for me.

2. Name one thing/idea/value that your opinion has changed on since having children. I thought I would never have the confidence to nurse in public without some sort of cover or blanket. Then summer happened. I haven't used a cover since.

3. Name 3 things you can see from where you are sitting. A wig on a wig head, my husband's bicycle, and our TV antenna, complete with aluminum foil on the ends.

4. Explain your screenname. I like books a lot, and my name is Emily. That's been my SN since high school, so it effectively is my online identity.

5. Favorite holiday? Halloween and Mardi Gras/Carnival! I also really like Holy Thursday, Easter Sunday, All Saints Day, and Advent season.

1. What's your favorite childhood Halloween costume? My mom found an old box, and put one of those red and white checkered tablecloths over it to make it look like a table. We also glued plates, fake food, etc on it. Then...here's the kicker! We cut a hole in the center, placed the box over my shoulders, so my head was thru the hole, and when I knelt down on my knees, the rest of my body was under the box. I wore make up to look dead, teased me hair, and my head looked like the main course sitting on the table. I won the costume contest at the local park that day! 2. Name one thing/idea/value that your opinion has changed on since having children. Getting annoyed with friends for rushing home early when we were out. I would think "why rush home? Your baby is in bed!" Now I totally get it and I do the same thing every time it go anywhere. 3. Name 3 things you can see from where you are sitting. 1. What's your favorite childhood Halloween costume? I don't have a favorite, as I was a witch most years because we used a box o' hand-me-downs. But in first grade, I was a princess with a costume borrowed from the school, and all I can remember is that I was too short, so someone pinned it up with STRAIGHT pins, and I got pinched the whole time trick or treating lol
2. Name one thing/idea/value that your opinion has changed on since having children. Breastfeeding- Thought I would hate it and feel weird about it, was set that I would try it out but it wouldn't work. I tried it out, and it was the best thing I've done. She was a natural at first, and it was never weird. I will do again with #2 in a heartbeat.
