watering eye?

Kiera has a cold, and since Saturday night her eye has been watering and it's a little pink underneath. There's no redness in the eye itself, or gunky discharge, just watering. Is this pink eye? Please don't tell me it's pink eye. I have a memorial tattoo for my husband scheduled for Wednesday and I hope I don't have to reschedule because I'm at the doctor. That sounds terrible, but it's not just any tattoo. Obviously, if she wakes up Wednesday and it's much worse I'll take her in, but if it could be pink eye then I'd want to get her in before then anyway. Plus I have to take at least two days off from work next week, one for her 15 month checkup. And I never had pink eye; the only experience I have with it is from our dog.

    You may be able to call it in. Its just drops and from my knowledge she wont be contagious after 24hrs of drops. But better to be treated before it spreads.

    I think it's probably just the cold. Dagny has had one too and her eyes are sometimes watery. Usually pink eye makes your eye crusty.

    Edit: the reason I say it's probably not pink eye is because you say it's been the same since Saturday. I've had pink eye a few times and in my experience it gets bad FAST. Like if untreated for 48 hours eye swollen shut and crusted bad. But that's my personal experience.

    The nurse over the phone has been able to get me a prescription a few times - our Dr said don't worry about coming in for pink eye or yeast infections. Worth a shot to give them a call!

    I would have sworn K had pink eye a few weeks ago. He had a cold and a weepy eye for a few days, then his eye got red and puffy and extremely weepy/crusted shut in the mornings. I took him to the doctor and it was just a cold. He eventually got it in the other eye too, but after maybe 2-3 days both cleared up.

    This.  Every time LO gets a cold her eyes water (sometimes it looks like she is crying).  The pedi said it is normal and that it is associated with the cold. LO has had pink eye and the differeance is distinct.  With pink eye she has tons of nasty discharge and her eyes are swollen and red.  Her eyes are also crusted shut in the morning or after a nap.
