Baby swing

Does anyone let their baby sleep in the swing? She does so good in her swing but I've read and heard mixed answers about this one.

Re: Baby swing

  • We do during the day and have fallen asleep on the couch with LO in the swing. Idk if it was that it just general fussiness but Friday and Saturday night I passed out on the couch and LO slept in get swing. Sunday and Monday (Monday especially) were very hard to get her to sleep at night. I'm trying my best to avoid nighttime swing sleeping for that very reason now.

  • I let DD. I would let him too if he liked it. He doesn't seem that into it yet.

  • I do and have for the past several weeks. He has bad reflux and sleeping at the incline or on me is the only place he will sleep.

  • We do because of reflux also. Our pedi suggested it.

  • Short periods during the day, yes. She loves it and would stay in there for hours

  • We let her take naps in the swing during the day. She doesn't normally sleep very long in it though.

  • I use the swing for naps but Sat and Sun I fell asleep on the couch and DD slept in the swing for 6+ hrs both nights until she woke up to eat. Then I took her upstairs to the rnp.

  • Yes! Do whatever it takes so you can get sleep too.
  • DS loves his swing and hangs out in it before and after daytime naps almost everyday. He will stay there content for hours!

  • We broke down and got the mamaroo the other night. I use it during the day so I can eat and shower. It's a miracle worker but at night he sleeps in his rnp.

  • She's asleep in it right now. She does a daytime nap of about 2 hours in it every other day. The other days it's her bouncer or on me. This is a new development in the past couple of days... before then, she would only sleep on me!
  • You have to let yourself sleep! However you are able to get your LO to sleep is what works for you. Just be cautious and monitor. Everyone is different. And there will be mixed reviews on almost everything you do as a mom. :) you are in survival mode with your sweet baby.
  • She sleeps in swing at night due to mild reflux and she loves to be cuddled in it. Napping in crib now bc want to transition soon. She is 9 weeks. She sleeps a 5 hr stretch then two 3 hour stretches at night. We get up around 8:30 - 9:00 most days :)
  • Oh and it's not moving when she sleeps in it.
