Oven baby proofing PSA

Most newer ranges will lock. Mine is a kenmore from 2011. I just looked up the instructions online. It has a door lock and a cooktop button lock.

ETA they are not actual buttons, presumably to outsmart older kids, but button combos.

    Don't hang towels on your oven handle. Dd2 likes to pull them off. She grabbed both sides and pulled the oven door down on top of her. I shudder to think if the oven had been on. By the time I got to her, her hand was on the inside of the door trying to pull herself out. It would have been burned so bad.

    i'll have to look that up! the other day bailey grabbed the handle, climbed up onto the drawer, and started to hang her head backwards. i almost died. she does the same thing on the gates.
