I'm done!

This might be kind of aw-y, but I just nursed DD for the last time. 3+ yrs of nursing babies and I've closed up shop. It's bittersweet. I know DD is our last one ( DH had the snip to ensure it), so it truly feels like the end of an era. I crawled into bed to snuggle with Ds1 (who is almost 7) thinking about all the awesome things older kids do. I just can't believe I'm done with the baby phase forever. I'm happy about that and mostly ready to move on, but it just seems crazy.

Now back to living vicariously through all of the recent (and hopefully soon-to-follow) S12 BFP!

Thanks for letting me get it out. DH is nothing but excited so he doesn't get why I am even remotely sad.

it must be so bittersweet, you did an amazing job nursing for 3+ years and to go this long with DD is really an accomplishment. Enjoy having your body back!

Congrats!!!! You've done an amazing job! I remember realizing that was the last time I was going to nurse DS1. I was excited but oh so very sad. Such a strange mix of emotions.

Thanks ladies. Nursing DS1 was terrible. Lots of hurdles (low supply, not responding to pump, bad latch etc) I never thought it would happen. Although the first few weeks were always hard, I'm so glad it worked out.

Awww, great job! I understand the bittersweet feeling. I vacillate right now between thinking I want to just keep nursing DD in the mornings and then thinking we should keep doing morning and night. I know no matter when we stop for good, there's going to be that twinge of "aw, my last baby"
